Just looking for feedback on the company.

They seem to not have much info out there about them but they do have a WDW location and only charge 20 bucks to return the car to MCO Airport.

It looks like American's owners previously did business under the name Eagle, which was bought by Advantage in 2007 shortly before Advantage itself went bankrupt and was acquired by Hertz. American Car Rental then was founded in 2008. There are some old threads about Eagle (for example, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=624740).

Hertz recently dumped Advantage and bought Dollar Thrifty. Just a FYI.

I called American and the lady was very easy going and helpful.

I guess we will see come October

One of the things I like about them is they will pick me up at my Disney hotel and take me to thier Walt Disney World site to get the car. It's only about a 5 minute drive from AOA

So will Alamo and they don't charge a drop fee.

They charge for an additional driver, even a spouse.

They can cancel your reservation if an error allowed you to reserve a car at a rate not intended.

They can cancel your reservation if you're more than an hour late, unless you call, even if your flight is delayed. Your personal auto policy better cover rental cars. They don't accept cc as offering third party liability since most don't include it.
Debit renters who have personal auto insurance have to pay $10 per day to insure a $500 deductible.

True, but, you get what you pay for and considering the effort that Lewisc went through with his post, I would not rent from them on a bet.

Ohhh, I don't like that "They can cancel your reservation if an error allowed you to reserve a car at a rate not intended" part at all. That just smells of a bait and switch tactic.
