I had booked a flight on american airlines back in september for our january trip. The price has now gone down. Does anyone know if they will credit your account if you call them about this?

Any help or advice is appreciative.

Thanks.

They'll lower your rate, but they'll charge you a 100.00 ticketing fee to do so :(

that sucks....the price difference was only $75....I guess I'll just forget that I even saw that new lower price :(

Just for the heck of it - call American and ask. I'm 100% certain Delta charges, even just to reduce your fare,,, but I couldn't find that absolute information at AA.com.

Give it a shot - the worst that can happen is, you find out for sure it's not worthwhile.

Even with Delta, they only charge you a change fee if your original airfare specified a change fee. Same with American and all the rest -- if the terms of the airfare you book include a change fee, they will, of course, charge it, and if they don't, then they won't! Most airlines offer a variety of airfares with varying rules and fees applicable to them.

Call and ask about having them place the excess ticket fees onto vouchers for future air travel. 800-433-7300

Speaking of AA...I booked a flight in August to LONDON on AA and it was $500.00 pp.....I just checked it the other day and it is now $1350.00 for the identical flight..........YIKES..... :scared1:

So when I fly out next week, there maybe people sitting next to me paying almost 3x what I did. :guilty:

Thats why we got our spring break flight tickets last week. $290 (including agent fee). The best part they will be close to $500 by the time we go in may
