Just goes to prove that signing up for fare alerts pays off sometimes. Today I bought our airline tickets for our trip to Disneyland in November. American Airlines has a fantastic sale right now! Plus I got to use my Entertainment book coupon for another $40 off. Total round trip $210 per person. Compared to last year which was $372. Saved us almost $650!!!! :woohoo: Made my day! Just thought I would share in case anyone else is looking for a great deal on airfare.

My daughter told me she wanted to go to LA at the end of September, and the RT airfare was $141 from Chicago. I checked Kayak, and the fare was the same on United and Continental as well. I also had the $20 Entertainment promotion code, so my daughter and I are flying from Chicago to LAX @ $119.90 pp!

Great find! It feels wonderful to find a bargain, doesn't it?!!!! :thumbsup2

Up until this trip our one Orlando trip had been our cheapest. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the fare fairy finds you and sends you another awesome deal! :wizard:

i went to farecompare.com and got round trip from DFW to LAX non stop for $95 each way per person on American. Approximately $423 for two people round trip after you add tax and fees.

Glad to see someone else getting to take advantage of the airfare sale going on now. I got an e-mail directly from American this afternoon and the Fall Sale ends tomorrow. StarTink, I did notice that flying into Lax was a few dollars cheaper. We prefer the smaller airports. When I used my coupon it ended up the same. Either way is a good deal!

Cheap airfare is such a treat. We found Alaska - Seattle to SNA for $77pp. 12 of us heading down, each family of 4 RT was just over $700. Much better then in 2008.

Go Mickey, with a group of 12 you really needed to be able to find a good deal. Glad you were able to save some extra money so you can spend it at the park instead! :rotfl:

Wow! American never seems to have a deal around here. Guess I should sign up for alerts! I always forget about my Entertainment book...thanks for the reminder.

I hope the American sale helps you out. I usually forget the Entertainment discounts too but this time around I finally actual made the book pay for itself.

Have you guys checked out the Southwest sale?
It ends today airfare is from $40, $80, $120 each way depending on how far you are traveling....:thumbsup2

In my area the fare was maybe $10 dollars cheaper but the flight was 2 hours longer. To me it's just not worth it. I do have to thank Southwest though. It was because I went looking at their sale that I thought to go check on American. Either way there are going to be some happy people out there taking advantage of those airfares.

Marie, I would have loved to fly into Santa Ana. I fly there on business frequently and love that small airport. Unfortunately I booked my airfare several weeks ago before the sale. Oh well, I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND! :cool1:

Between this sale and the points my mom and I got from signing up for their credit card I was able to get 7 RT tickets for $99 a piece. Plus I don't have to pay any extra for our bags :thumbsup2

Sounds like a fantastic deal! I like the idea of no charge for luggage. Now if only Southwest did not add 2 stops and 2 hours if we flew with them I would have jumped on their sale. I wonder if just flying from DFW? Curious, do you have extra stops when you fly?

Yesterday my American flights were $60 ORD-LAX (plus taxes) and $59 LAX-ORD (plus taxes). Tonight the lowest fares are $149 each way - ha!

There are not very many non-stop flights out of Boise so I always have one or two stops depending on where I'm flying.

What about the Entertainment book??? I haven't heard about this tip???! Please do share:) I don't have one, but is it easy to get a code from someone who does, or are they all individual codes, or can I buy a book anytime? I too got the email for the AA sale, and trying to decide if we should do a fall trip for my Bday end of Oct. We weren't planning on doing another trip this year, as we went to WDW in April. But I feel like the airfare sales are a sign that we should book a trip...Right?!
