Ack, you're right; it is SNA. (Sorry, I fly out of BNA far more often; looks like autocorrect got me.)
Careful not to confuse the OP any more, ACK is the airport code for Nantucket, MA

I bring a tablet. Pretty comparable to the seat back screen.Yeah but
Fair difference in size
I don’t watch stuff on my phone too small
Not trying to say you're not telling the truth or anything so disclaimer lol.
We fly Delta out of LAX anywhere from 5 to 10 times a year, and to/from Seattle almost as much. The only delta flight we have had in the last 18 months that didn't have seat back screens OR the ability to use the gogo in flight entertainment app was the 45 minute flight to Vegas.
Maybe it's different for LAX. But since the OP is flying out of there i would expect them to have screens
Im perfectly fine with themremoving the video screens from the seat backs but what I cant figure for the life of me is why those planes don't have charger adapters....thats so ridiculous...free entertainment and wifi use but no chargers smhI fly American from LAX to MCO several times a year. The schedule is usually pretty good. Usually 4 flights a day each way. For in flight entertainment it’s a mixed bag if the seat back set is available, but the free entertainment over WiFi on your own device is available even if there is a seat back set. American is slowly removing the seat back entertainment though from it’s planes and the new A321neo doesn’t have it and that usually flys at least one of the 4 daily flights. I like those planes because the overhead bin space can hold a lot more roller boards and they have a clip device on the back of each seat to but your personal entertainment device into.
American has normal plugs and usb plugs on every flight I’ve been on between lax and mco in the past 3 years. All the new planes have them and most planes I think are being retrofitted for them.Im perfectly fine with themremoving the video screens from the seat backs but what I cant figure for the life of me is why those planes don't have charger adapters....thats so ridiculous...free entertainment and wifi use but no chargers smh
I'm leaving from SFO this time and the way it looks to me...they don't have the plugs in the seats...Im taking a 321 aircraft...seatguru says they have no power and no video so Im taking that as no plugsAmerican has normal plugs and usb plugs on every flight I’ve been on between lax and mco in the past 3 years. I was on a321’s my last number of flights and they’ve had both the normal plugs and usb plugs.I'm leaving from SFO this time and the way it looks to me...they don't have the plugs in the seats...Im taking a 321 aircraft...seatguru says they have no power and no video so Im taking that as no plugs
I was looking at the 4 airplanes we'll be on for our roundtrip trip this week and the 321 is one of the aircraft we'll be on. Not a single flight I'm on has power or video. Now, I'm not flying cross country so hardly a fair comparison only that it's not as prevalent as some thinkI'm leaving from SFO this time and the way it looks to me...they don't have the plugs in the seats...Im taking a 321 aircraft...seatguru says they have no power and no video so Im taking that as no plugs
Im gonna cross my fingers they do because thats an awful long flight not to have themI was on a321’s my last number of flights and they’ve had both the normal plugs and usb plugs.
There are 2 a321 models (not the neo). One is the older us airways planes, and those I don’t think have the power outlets. The other ones do.
I would never count on any amenity to be available on an aircraft. Even if the aircraft is outfitted for it, that doesn't mean it's working. Even if the aircraft assigned to you now (or even the day before) has the amenity and it's working, the airline could change aircraft on you to one that doesn't have the amenity.Im gonna cross my fingers they do because thats an awful long flight not to have them
Great point
We had one flight that had the screens with WiFi but the WiFi went out right after take off. They never got it working
Not much troubleshooting the flight attendants can do

So, it's better to assume you don't have it and take the proper precautions (bringing power banks, downloading movies, whatever), and if the amenity is there and available, great!
