Check your flights! Mine changed. Not bad, but changed anyway!

This really messes up our plans!! My daughter and I are flying in on separate planes, separate airlines -- I was arriving at l:35 pm and she and my grandson were arriving at 1:54 pm, and we were going to pick up our rental car. NOW I GET IN AT 6:23 PM!! That means they have to sit in the airport for 3-1/2 to 4 hours waiting on me! It's already cost me to change my flight to add another day to leave the same time as my daughter. Blows the heck out of our dinner plans too - we were going to the Polynesian Luau at 5:00 pm. T h i s d o e s n o t m a k e m e h a p p y !!!

Have you called AA to see if you can get on a different flight, since this is NOT the flight you chose.

off2disney.
Step 1, check the AA schedule to be sure there is not another flight that you could take that would work better! If so, call NOW and ask for that.

Step 2, if not check and see if there is another airline that has a decent rate for your travel dates. If so, call and tell AA the changes were not acceptable and request a refund.

Thanks, all -- I called AA and because it was a schedule change (not my choice) they changed me to another flight through Dallas that will get into Orlando 20 minutes after my daughter and grandson, so that's acceptable. I just wigged out when I went on line and checked and saw what time I was getting in. The AA agent was very accommodating and helpful -- but said to keep checking -- they are having schedule changes all the time.

It happened to me too! We had a red-eye so we could get an extra day in Orlando, and they switched me to an 8 am flight, causing me to lose a whole day of my vacation.

I called and they were very pleasant and accomodating and got me a flight the night before. I am glad I knew about it right away!

They seem to be doing this a lot since they bought TWA. St. Louis was the TWA hub and they have been messing around with their flights a lot trying to utilize the old TWA terminal in St. Louis. Glad you all got your flights worked out!

Actually, AA just cut one half of all of their non-stop flights, beginning Nov. 1. About 2000 people are going to be out of jobs. We are hoping that Southwest will pick up some of the slack, but it is causing a lot of people much grief. Please work with these phone agents, as they are the ones who are paying dearly for all the cuts. The whole reservation system in downtown St. Louis will be shut down. Economics!

This is really getting strange. First, my DD and DGS are meeting me at Orlando in December, with me arriving 20 minutes before them (me on American, they are on Northwest). Then AA changed my schedule, with me arriving 4-1/2 hours after they arrived. This wouldn't do, so I called and they were able to book me on another flight that would arrive 20 minutes AFTER they did.

Today, Northwest advised my DD they had changed her schedule, and she will be arriving 2-1/2 hours BEFORE me. She's going to call and try to get it changed to a different flight that arrives closer to my arrival time -- sounds like a lot of the airlines are doing this schedule change thing!

Well be prepared for more changes between now and december, it will happen. December is a long way off in Airline time.
