Hi all,

Since we have a 4:00 flight out of MCO, we are thinking about going to downtown Disney after our Wonder cruise. The plan is to return to MCO with our Disney transfers, and pick up a rental car through Emerald Isle. We then head over to DD for a few hours.

Question #1 - We are taking American Airlines. After our Magic trip in January, we checked our luggage and, if memory serves, got our boarding passes right at the port. Our flight that time was at 12:30 or so. Does anyone know if we can do the same for a late afternoon flight? Are there any time limitations on this service?

Question #2 - Given the location of DD and parking, do you think this type of a trip makes sense? We know we can only spend a few hours there, and assuming we have our boarding passes and luggage checked, we figure to arrive at DD about 11:00 and leave at 2:00. Is it worth it?

Thanks for any feedback on either question.

I'm a former Emerald Aisle customer, and although I enjoyed some of the cars I got through that program, I think it's silly to take Disney transfers to MCO just to get an Aisle car. You're adding a lot of expense by taking Disney transfers, whereas your car rental expense would be the same whether you picked up a car at Cape Canaveral or at MCO.

Skip the bus step. You'll have more time and more money. And since it's just a one-day rental, it won't matter much that you don't get to pick the car of your choice.

Thanks Dave,

It sounds like there is a National Rental car close to the port. How would we get to that facility?

Thanks again! DH is checking out our options as we speak:D
