On American Airlines website, they have a room availability calendar for all the rooms available for free dining. You need to make sure you click on the free dining offer to get the correct availability calendars. You kind of have to play around a bit to get to the calendar, but if you pick a resort and put in a date and the dates you want aren't available the availability calendar will come up. I don't know if this is a seperate block of rooms from the ones Disney has or if they are the same, but maybe some people would find it useful.
Some examples I found in just playing around:
All-Star Sports shows availability 8/26-8/31 and 9/3-9/12 in standard rooms
POP shows availability 9/2-9/5 in standard and preferred rooms, 9/8-9/12 in standard rooms 9/16-9/19 in standard 9/9-9/11 in preferred and 9/16-9/18 in preferred
POR shows availability 9/2-9/13 in Standard and Waterview Rooms
Poly shows availability in GV rooms from 8/26-9/15
Old Key West had wide open availability throughout free dining in all room categories
