1. I have put on hold a flight with American Airlines for our january trip on AA.com (I have to confirm by 8/24 or I will lose flights). The prices I may confirm at are very high. What happens if a sale comes in for these same flights after I confirm? Will the airline charge me the $100 fee to get the sale price? and then mail me a voucher our next flight?

2. I had about a week ago with expedia.com had saved these same flights on American and then when I went into their web site yesterday and today I noticed that the return flight is no longer offered on their web site (but that same return flight is still on my saved flights). Should I PANIC and secure these flights? or wait until a sale comes?

3. When I went on AA.com when I was booking these flights I noticed that I can pick our seats. Can you pick you seats on Expedia.com?

4. When I was selecting our seats on AA.com I was picking seats 10-12 A&B. I assume those are good seats to pick? Right?

Thanks

Cindy

I would wait until the January sales are in effect. No need to panic or manke any rash decisions this far in advance.

you have plenty of time for jan sales to come out. personally I would wait for those. if you do purchase the fare at whatever it is now and it goes on sale as long as you don't change flight times or days then yes you should get the voucher at no cost.

Beverly,

Any idea how come Expedia.com flights are dropping off their web site and when you go on the regular (AA.com) web site those flights are still avail? This is whats panicing me I am afraid if I wait then this certain flight with good times will no longer be there. With this being about 5 months out this situation should not be happening.

Whats your intake on this.

Thanks
Cindy

not sure it could be that the flight is booked or it was changed in a schedule change, the times or flt nbrs could have changed or the aircraft itself... I've had that happen myself expedia no longer was showing it and usairs websight still had it...full coach fares only...so maybe expedia only shows discounted seats......

minybear,
I love American and fly them all the time,
AA is great with price changes....no, you will nt get a change fee, and you will hve a choice if you wnat the difference on your card...(for a small fee) or if you want the vouchers.
also the seats you have picked are great!!!!
AA is great for changeing there aircraft...and it has always been a plus for us!! If I were you...check the AA site on a daily basis...they change there fares so quick...I was to get a fare for 557 and within a hour I only paid 182!! this was last week!! so for Jan...I see nota problem wating...did this last year same time....and we paid 151 rt! good luck!

Thanks Janet

I want to confirm today but my DH says no lets wait until they go on sale. He really doesn't care about the good seats I got. The price right now is $687 pp (to high). I know if they go on sale I will somehow get the money back.

I keep on checking and at this time the rate has not changed for months and right now the discount is until Jan 11 2002 and we are going Jan 19 2002. I have a feeling that the sales will come by Labor Day (I am hoping).

Have you used Expedia. com for your tickets Janet or have you went right through AA.com? I was wondering which service is better.

Thanks Janet

Cindy
