American Adventure Rotunda

Just wondering if any past Disney brides have any photos from their wedding at the American Adventure Rotunda at Epcot. I'm looking into having my reception there, and would love to see some pictures of it all dressed up for a reception. Also, if anyone has had their reception there, as well as an Illuminations Dessert Party afterwards, what time did your reception need to start?

I had my reception at the American Adventure Rotunda in December of 2003. It is such a beautiful venue, and it doesn’t require much (if any) decorating, which can be a cost-saver.

We had an Illuminations pre-reception instead of dessert party. Our timeline was ceremony at 7:30 pm, pre-reception from 8:45 – 9:45, reception from 9:45 – 1:30 am. Our pre-reception was a little later than normal since they push Illuminations back from 9:00 to 9:30 in December due to the Candlelight Processional.

I believe you could also do (this may no longer be correct, so check with your coordinator) a 5:30 pm ceremony, followed by a pre-reception, then begin your reception. The Illuminations party would then take place in the middle of your reception (like after the meal but before the dancing).

Your pictures are beautiful!! I really love the venue, that's definately going to be something I need to visit before we decide. Is it possible to have a ceremony around 4:00, with a reception at the American Adventure Rotunda, and then the Illuminations Dessert Party?? I'm not sure how it works out at the World Showcase w/receptions and timing. Thanks!

I don't believe they let you begin your reception at the AAR much earlier than following the 5:30 pm ceremony time and a pre-reception. They have to close it to park guests early in order to set up, and they try to minimize it's downtime. Of course, check with your coordinator, since this could've changed since my wedding.
