American Adventure Parlor Reception

So my brother has FINALLY picked the reception location for his December wedding! He has been driving me nuts because of the limited availability and not being happy with the choices he was given, but atleast that is behind us. Can anyone tell me more about the Parlor...and if you had your wedding there, pics would be wonderful!!!! I tried finding a youtube video but had no such luck Also, can you access that balcony from the parlor?

You can't access the balcony.

Also, there have recently been reports that the small, windowless dining room can get really muggy and uncomfortable. This is where they usually set up dinner, but a few couples have been able to get them to set it up out in the parlor part. You can hear an interview and see pictures of one such couple HERE.

My wedding will also be In the American Adventure Parlor- so this short thread has been helpful.

Much like Beth from Lurkyloo's podcast, I am going to be the bride fighting to keep everything IN THE PARLOR not the awkward side room- we will see how that goes.

We had our reception in the Parlor and absolutely loved it! We did have to fight for the main room, but won in the end. It was totally worth the fight. The space was perfect for us.
