My daughter and I each tried one in a local store and absolutely loved how it "fit". It has all the advantages of a fanny pack (no hands necessary) and none of the disadvantages (extra bulk around the waist).

Does anyone know a good place to find these online? I did find a 10% discount at ebags. Is that as good as I'll find?

I have the LL Bean Healthy back bag which is made by Ameribag. I carried during my last theme park trip and it worked out just great. The way it is designed keeps the weight balanced and it feels very light. The padded grip on the shoulder keeps it in place. I believe LLBean has a couple of the colors on clearance right now. Do a search on their site for sale items and look under backpacks and totes. You will love the bag!

If you have AAA many of their offices carry them with the travel gear. Even if they don't have it in your office they may be able to get it from another office. I think you get either 10-15% off travel gear.

Try ebay...they have tons to choose from. I have the small size and its plenty big enough...its just gonna depend on how much you want to carry.

So if we were carrying...
camera, wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, two bottles of water (one each), umbrella/ponchos .... (anything else I'm forgetting?!)

Should I go for the small or the regular? I'd love to go out and check the sizing myself, but I'm in Canada, and I can't seem to find these bags ANYwhere in Toronto!!!

Also, has anybody compared the LLBean bag and the official "Ameribag"? Are there any differences? Thanks for your help!

I bought mine through my local AAA office about 4 weeks ago. I decided to try it out for a few days and I have been using it for 3 1/2 week now. I love it!!! It holds so much and does not feel heavy on my back.

I had been looking for a bag like this. Thank you DisDee for suggesting checking LL Bean; mine is on its way! (I bought a small microfiber deep coral one for about $20!). They also have small microfiber "celedon" (a light sage I think) for the same price, and also several colors of mini-sized bags for that price as well.

I just received my dark coral healthy back bag from LL Bean and I love it! The color is much nicer than I thought and the small size is perfect for me to take on day trips with the kids or to Disney. I am so hooked on it that my next purchase will be a leather one for everyday use!

Well.... I jumped on the bandwagon.... small coral healthy back bag from LL Bean.... and even with Express shipping to Canada it was reasonably priced!! I let you guys know my thoughts after I see it.... thanks for the suggestion! I was getting stuck on what we were going to carry with us!

Received my coral bag from LL Bean yesterday - I love it! Lots of pockets and spaces to organize everything. I have to say, though, that while it's great, I can't see using it for around Disney or a day trip around here (like to the zoo). For me, with two kids, I need more room for all the "stuff" that we seem to need. I'll use this as a regular purse for day-to-day. I have a single-strap backpack from REI that I'll use for parks and such.
