Amending WDTC booking help please?

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer to my question please? I know that you can amend a WDW booking without paying the amendment fee if the cost increases but does it have to the be the cost of the accommodation that is more or can it be something you add on (I'm thinking MM, character meal etc) to make your total cost more expensive?

I booked 13 nights at POR for Oct 15 with a view to probably amending the dates once flights were released and adding on another 1 night and thereby increasing the holiday cost so no amendment fee.

Things have changed a bit (kids discovered Harry Potter!) and I'm now thinking of a split stay at Universal for maybe 2 or 3 nights rather than a couple of day trips from POR.

Does anyone know if this would work?

No you need the accommodation and or tickets value needs to stay the same or increase to avoid an amendment fee

I just don't know how many days would be best at Universal. I've got a feeling that my 6 year old will be asking when we are seeing the Minions as soon as we get there! I'm now thinking of a day trip during our POR stay early on in the holiday (to see those Minions) and then maybe a night/2 days at Universal at the end bringing us to 14 nights. But then we will have to get our own way to the airport...decisions!

It would need to be park tickets as WDTC UK don't sell the special event tickets such as MNSSHP

Ah, ok! I had hoped it would be like DLP where you could add on something to increase the total amount, never mind. I've got plenty of time to come up with a plan! Thanks so much for your reply
