I am currently using the Amazon Subscribe and Save program to send baby supplies to my niece across the country who just had a baby. I recently had a box of baby wipes sent. At the time, they were on sale with an extra 15% off ($9.79). Now, they are just the normal 15% off ($11.89). Does anyone know if the next shipment, which is scheduled for September, will be the original sale price or the current price? I am new to this program and am just wondering. Here is what the order looks like:

Pampers ThickCare Wipes, Scented, 504-count Box
Price: $9.79 (after 30% discount -- includes the standard 15% Subscribe & Save discount plus a limited-time offer of an additional 15% discount)
• Last ship date: July 26, 2010
• Estimated shipment date: September 23, 2010.
• To skip the currently scheduled shipment but still receive the following shipment, click Skip this shipment.
• Running low already? Send an extra shipment now.

Thanks!

I have done this before and you pay what the price is the day it ships minus the 15% subscribe and save discount

Amazon states
"You'll be charged for each order only when the item is shipped. The amount charged each time will reflect the price of the item on the day the order is processed less the Subscribe & Save discount, plus any applicable sales tax. Pay only for orders that have shipped."

But you can cancel at any time.

That statement from Amazon is odd...I have always paid the price less discount I agreed to at the time I started the subscription...not the current price less subscription, and I have several S&S enrollments.:confused3

THis has been true for me also. I only get coffee pods right now, but pay the price they were when I signed up.

Im new to using subscribe and save as well, but Ive had the same experience as OP. The diapers I bought have gone up in price and it looks like that is the price I will be charged. It still cheaper than at the store so Im sticking with it, but its a little more than the first shipment.

Same here!

I wonder if maybe the rules have changed and some of my older subscriptions may be under a older policy. I checked the snack bars I have been receiving forever and the price on the website is higher today than when I started and I just rec'd a shipment last week at the price in my account, not the current. Not complaining one bit :thumbsup2

I am pretty sure they will charge you the current price, minus the 15%. That is how my diapers are anyway.

FYI....Amazon is running a sale right now on most of their diapers and wipes. New Subscribe & Save orders get 30% off, instead of the normal 15%. In this case, I would cancel the old S&S, and sign up for a new one with the bigger discount.

BTW, how wonderfully nice it is of you to do this for your niece! :) If you need additional family members, me and my baby daughter are willing to be "adopted", lol. ;) :lmao: :rotfl2:

Since I very rarely get to see her (every 3 or 4 years), I wanted to do something for her on a regular basis. They are young parents, and even though they both work, money is tight. Buying things they need will be helpful. It drives DH crazy though, but I guess that is the "man" in him. He keeps saying "Who bought us diapers when we had babies?". I figure $10 every couple of months isn't going to kill us! He'll just have to get over it! LOL! I guess I will wait and see when my next shipment is sent and see what the price is!
