Anyone have experiencing with shipping a box using Amazon Prime to Aulani? I'd like to send some snacks and surprise small toys for my kids rather than packing them in my suitcase. Do they deliver within the 2-3 day Prime window or does it take longer?
I'm guessing that just like shipping to other Disney Resorts, I just add my Reservation number to the shipping label & check in date. Correct?

Thanks!

I would call them first before shipping anything there, just to be sure they can accommodate you. It says on their website that they cannot accept shipments due to lack of storage. Also, our wedding planner at Aulani told me that liability is really the biggest issue - if something gets lost or damaged, they are accountable, even if it came in like that from the shipping partner. I had asked about shipping my favors ahead of time and was shut down - and it's only enough favors for 25 people, so one box.

Prime shipping takes anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks. ;) There's no guarantee it will get here in the 2-3 day window.

thank you! I think I may revise my plans for shipping stuff there.

But again, I would ask them before shipping anything there. Candice, our wedding planner, told me that they have and will refuse packages if they don't have room to store them. She also told me today that occupancy is unusually high for April this year, so that may factor into it. Wouldn't want to see you not get your stuff.
What they say and what actually happens are two different things. ;) I do a ton of amazon prime shipping and I've never received anything in less than 3 days. The average is about a week, and it's "you're screwed" if they transfer to another carrier along the way. Often, things get to Honolulu, then get transferred to the distribution center, then get transferred again to the post office then they get delivered. Same with UPS or FedEx. Once it hits Honolulu, you're on aloha time. That's if your package doesn't get stolen once it hits Honolulu.

You could ship things USPS priority mail, but again, Aulani may not take the package. Definitely would get here quicker than Amazon.

Oh yeah, I'm agreeing with you.

I was wondering this too but then had read they won't accept packages........then thought, oh we can get a delivery from Safeway, nope! The Safeway there doesn't do deliveries. So we are going to try to pack as many dry food items as we can, then run to Safeway for perishables and liquor. =)

They partner with Island Grocery Service. You can order online, even perishables, and they WILL allow it to be delivered. It's pretty much the only one they allow...they coordinate with bell services to make sure everything is delivered to your room before you arrive.

Oo...Thank you for the info on Island Grocery Service! That's great to know about. We're a military family, so we're going to be going to the Navy Base first to stock up on food and I also think we'll just pick up a few small toys for the kids to play with in the room there as well. Just easier than dealing with the uncertainty of shipping. Thanks though!

Pearl Harbor comm is like a mile from the airport and so that's really convenient if you're going there first - or going if you're down visiting Pearl Harbor or the swap meet, etc. (it's not on base, though) And the NEX is right there in the same building.
But if you don't get there initially, there's a pretty decent sized commissary at Schofield barracks, which you can get to in about 25 min from Aulani, and generally there isn't traffic. If you're heading to the north shore for the day, then it's right on your way. (if you already know this, I apologize, but just wanted to make sure you did. )

Thank you! Can liquor be delivered? If not, we may do this for perishables and go to Island Country market for liquor and save ourselves a trip to the store. Thank you so much!!

Yes! It isn't on their website to order but they can add it after you place your order. We also had them add more fresh produce and lunch meat to our orders that wasn't listed on their site.

We were going to go to the Commissary at Schofield, but is the one at Pearl Harbor about the same size? That would be so much easier to get to.
Thanks!

Oh shoot, way way bigger. And the NEX is in the same building, so you can pretty much get everything you need (including alcohol).
In the building complex itself is also the ITT office and various other services. Totally worth the stop there, as it's right on your way from the airport. And then, it's an easy jump onto H1 for the rest of your drive to Aulani.
And here is the ITT price list (if you need it) http://www.greatlifehawaii.com/itt/information-tickets-travel
For the full price list, click the tab for "specials & price lists" and you'll see the download for Oahu. Do not book anything without checking that list first. :)

Fantastic! Thank you So VERY MUCH!

We shipped a bunch of sunscreen and stuff with amazon prime with no problems. It is 2-3 days shipping if you aren't a Hawaii resident. I think it is a different program they offer to people with a home address not in the continental US. Anyway when you checkout in amazon they give you the arrival date which we had arrive the same day we did. Got it that evening. Nothing was said about it not being allowed.

Prime works exactly the same for hawaii residents as it does for mainland residents. Yes you can order things on prime. No you cannot count on them arriving when you expect them to arrive. Almost never in 3 days.

You can read more about amazon prime shipping issues to hawaii here https://www.reddit.com/r/Hawaii/comments/3zhq79/is_anyone_else_having_issues_with_amazon_not/
If you've quickly shipped things in the past, that's great. If you've been lucky recently that things arrived quickly, also great. But it's not the norm.
