Amazon shipping -- caution

Fair enough. I see your point. I guess the thing that pissed me off the most was how it was when I first signed up. Things would ship same day or the next morning. I too would sometimes get deliveries on Sundays. It was great. I can order from target/walmart with free shipping save myself the $100 a year and get my packages in 5 days.
That's true about other online retailers. It's not always the case but we don't often find ourselves spending huge amounts on each order so for us we like that prime doesn't have a minimum. I hated having to spend $25 just to get free shipping in the past (and it's usually higher than $25 nowadays). Two years ago for Christmas stuff we were ordering stuff for people like twice a week we just kept remembering a person to buy for lol.

I do understand the frustration though if every order was more than the 2-day shipping in the sense that most think of (gets to me 2 days after ordering).

I have had prime shipping for about 6 years now. No issues the first 4 years and then last year I noticed unless I ordered something on Monday or Tuesday it would take a week to get to me rather than the 2 days it use to. However, this last year it has returned to normal and I get things 2 days after ordering them, especially with them delivering on Sundays now.

It's unfortunate they made it free shipping for orders over $50, I liked it a lot better when it was $35

Never have had an issue with Prime and getting my stuff as promised. I have been a Prime member for a long time, I can't even remember how long ago it was I signed up originally.

I'm expecting an order today. Prime five day delivery, not by my choice. Order placed Wednesday. No reason given - I chose two day. But that's not as bad as the order that I waited for all day on a Sunday about six weeks ago. It went out for delivery before 9 AM, and stayed out for delivery until almost 11 PM. Because Amazon drivers deliver until everything is delivered.

Not.

Then it was promised at my door Monday before noon.

Not.

have been a Prime member for 5 years, very little problem with delivery until last June. since then I have had 5 shipments that were completely lost and all of them were shipped via:

Carrier: AMZL

I think that is the white Amazon vans. how can 5 shipments been completely lost, not late lost? I wonder if there is an issue with a driver(s) in my area.

Amazon has extended my Prime membership by a month 3 times now and issued credits to my account too.

Since June every order that was shipped via UPS has arrived on time.

this past weekend. had an amazon package shipped and delivered via amzl. said it was delivered on Friday. Didn't get it. Finally got it Saturday and it clearly had been opened and resealed. I'm sure it was delivered to the wrong house, whoever got it opened, it, and was incredibly disappointed to find two lawn flamingos....and decided to give it back.

We have those vans in our area now, we see them all the time driving around. Last christmas we had a gift ship late and then it never arrived. Tracking said it was delievered at like 8pm on Xmas eve when no one was home. We got a refund, we figured they sent it to the wrong address (there are only 3 units under our actual street address and two are family that own the unit that we rent from so never have lost packages if they sign for them). With the locker we haven't had any issues and we figure it is easier than them trying to figure out which bell to ring on which door. I had a coworker in the city say they lost the last 5 of her packages and whenever they look into always declare it lost, so shes convinced they are delievering them to someone else on purpose. I told her to find a locker as those packages can't seem to go missing. Amazon doesn't use tamper proof shipping packaging so this may be an issue with them for the foreseeable future.

sure makes you wonder... since my last "lost" delivery I ordered 2 more times, one came UPS and USPS and arrived on time.
