So I ordered a stroller from Amazon today. It offered me free two day shipping. Usually you see this with the free trial membership to Amazon prime. But this time it was just free two day shipping. So I cliked on that option.

Well when I go into my account its showing a prime membership for me now. It shows from September 14, 2010 - December 14, 2010

It doesn't say anything about a free trial. Are they running some kind of promotion right now or something? I never signed up for Amazon Prime.

ETA: I do see where if you signed up under the Amazon moms thing they have free two day shipping and I did sign up for this yesterday so that must be it. I just didn't want to get charged something down the road for this.

It's part of the Amazon Mom membership. I had Amazon Prime and they refunded my remaining membership when I signed up for Amazon Mom. I think you get additional months of Prime as you spend money in the baby department.

There is an Amazon Mom promo running. You get free Prime membership for three months and each time you order $25 from the baby shop, you get another month free - up to 12 months total. You also get discounts in the babyshop up to 15%. You should have had to agree to join, so I'm not sure if that is it or not. If not, it is a pretty good deal if you buy much from them. It works with the Subscribe and Save as well, so you could get about 30-35% off diapers this way.

Thank you! Thank you! Now I'm all set with Prime for Christmas!

Thanks, it is because I signed up for the moms thing. The diapers would be a good deal except he's growing so fast I have no idea how long he will be in a particular size. He's only 3 months old and already went up to a size 3. The subsribe and save seems like a pretty good deal though. 204 count pack of Luvs for 24.50 I think it said. Gotta think about this one.

If I recall from reading the Amazon mom rules...when you order baby/toddler things your 3 months membership is extended. Not sure for how long, but keep checking your prime membership on Amazon to be sure when your expiry is! :thumbsup2

You can go under "Manage my Prime" and make sure the box to not auto renew is not marked and you should be fine. I LOVE amazon prime!

Looks like they also have a student version where you get a year free if you have a .edu email address.

Where is the auto-renew button? I used the free prime membership last Christmas, so know I un-clicked it then, but I'm not seeing it now. :confused3
