Amazon & Price matching

Found this online, but Walmart would not price match it. Does anyone know if I can pricematch it at Amazon & how to go about doing that.

Amazon doesn't price match like Walmart. Sometimes they drop their price to match a competitor but you can't email them to get a price match.

best buy will price match....they gave me a PM to walmart.com a few weeks ago.

What was the excuse Walmart gave? I thought they were supposed to do that?

My Best Buy won't price match if the item is not in stock. I think most places require the item to be in stock in order to do a PM. It makes no sense for them to pm a store where you can't buy the item anyway, if you really want it, you'll pay full (or a higher) price for it.

well clearly....you cant exactly PM an item you dont sell in the store.

I thought the PP meant that they will not price match something if the store they would be matching to does not have the product available. The Sears link shows that it is unavailable to ship.

Yes, that is what I meant.

Its still worth it to check, just didnt want the OP to get her hopes up in case she was turned down.

Amazon doesn't do traditional price matching.

No retail store will price match that item since it's unavailable for purchase online (ie: not in stock)...unless you get super lucky and get an associate who isn't paying attention/doesn't care.

I went to the Sears and they had one of these (even tho it said there wasnt one within 50 miles of me.........so I bought it and it rang up 5.98)! So I took my receipt to Target and price matched it.
