Finance offer for me too. Drat! I really wanted a new kindle for dh--I love mine
& he doesn't know what he's missing...

Didn't get the deal this weekend, today I have an offer of Kindle for $49 or paperwhite for $99.

that's what I saw too.... not so great..... so I got an Ipad mini 2 instead on the apple store refurb. site..... (I already have a basic reading kindle....I like it,but I really prefer actual books in general)

I purchased the Fire HD on Sunday for the great price of $89. Today I sent an e-mail through the contact us button at 6:30 after reading this page. By 8:00, my account had a $20+ tax credit. Woohoo!!!

To those of you who called what did you say to customer service on getting the price adjustment? I may try tomorrow to see if I can get a price adjustment, its worth a try.

You just say that you would like to request a price adjustment as the price has dropped $20 since you purchased it on Sunday/Saturday.

Thanks I did the Chat this morning and requested the price adjustment, and it was given what a great deal! Im not sure if I'm going to like reading on a Kindle or the old fashion way books in my hand!!

I picked up a paperwhite the other day to replace my aging Kindle, and then afterward was thinking I should have gotten a Fire for my son's birthday in a couple of weeks. Was kicking myself and then came and saw this, so it's not too late - thanks!

The prices on the refurbished Paperwhites don't seem that great to me. Am I missing something?

I am hoping that all these discounts and promos mean that amazon is getting ready to release the new models. I would have gotten the Paperwhite if I had the $44 offer. For $119 I will wait to see what the new model brings . . . .
