Any experience with a refurbished kindle I saw one that does not look too expensive just want to make sure I am not throwing my money away though

I think the kindle fire will be pretty cheap on prime day. I bought one a year ago. I use it mostly for reading.

I'd be afraid with a refurbished kindle.....no reason but my own feelings. The fact the person who had it before could have dropped it 50 times. It might work fine and then one little tap and something goes wrong.

Go to the book's page on Amazon and you'll see a button that says "send as a gift." You'll have to pay for the book you send, though.

If you've already got the book in your account, and you've registered both kindles to that account, then it's in your library, and you can download it to both kindles, you don't have to gift it, just make sure that both kindles are registered to your account, then go to your library, show all rather than just downloaded, and select the book to download.

You can share your prime benefits, but it doesn't really work from a kindle perspective. What you can do, is get a program like Calibre that will allow you to manage your book library or libraries on your computer. You can then hook your Kindles up to your computers and those books that are sold without DRM (digital rights management) you can easily copy from one Kindle to another. There are ways to remove the DRM limitations with plug-ins as well, and you can find instructions on how to get those with a Google search on it if you're interested.

There are some books that are available for lending, but you can only lend them for a period of time, and they're not available to you while they're being lent.

So word wise does not come with every book but what is the number next to my name

Just got the kindle the biggest disappointment is no word wise although it might be the book I am reading

If you go to the product page of the book it will show you if word wise is available for it. It will show Word Wise enabled in the section where the info like number of pages is. It isn't available on all books.

I think after exploring I think I can say that my days of reading on my iPhone are over the screen is not tinny like on my I phone and not huge like the IPad
