Amazing Ursula AA from new ride.

Yes early to mid 90's I think they gave a preview of the concept art ov TLM DVD but it was a different ride than what we are getting.

They also had a virtual version of the ride that looked amazing. Let's hope this doesn't disappoint!

Ursula looks amazing! I'm getting pretty excited for this along with all the other additions to DCA. I wonder if this ride will remain open during the World of Color showings as I imagine it will be pretty crowded along that passage in DCA when the ride first opens and if there are 2-3 WOC showing per night.

Disney has already mentioned LM well stay open during WoC. However as MM was open during WoC, they haven't mentions that when it reopens as GSS if it will stay open.

This was a tricky time for Disney Eisner was burnt out DAK was in the works and the 20k lagoon was still there so it would have been an enormous undertaking for one ride.

HoW much do you think it would have cost Disney to go through w/ the ride in the 90s during all this?

Don't worry even Diney has stated that the ride itself will be the same. The show buildings of course very different.

Though I disagree with you, the DCA version of the show building will be just fine. While the planned and under construction version in MK will be may be better, bigger, more delagated to the theme of the Little Mermaid movie. The DCA version has less room to work with. However the building itsself reminds me a lot of boardwalks of thier golden days. A lot like Luna park at Coney Island. Which is the desired theme of the DCA land in which it's being built. The WDW showbuilding may end up looking more out of place.

Thank goodness. It really didn't make sense to me that they would be different. It would be so much cheaper to replicate the ride in two locations than to build two separate versions.
I'm sure DCA will be fine. Disney was trying to drop the wharf amusement park image with this billion dollar update so I'm surprised they went the same route with the new ride.
