Amazing time in my life!!!

Check this out for absoloute excitement.............

Going to Disney in 2 days!!!! Me, wifey, 2 kids - 7 & 5.



First time for anyone to Disney. First time for anyone to America. First time for Kids on a plane. First time driving abroad. First time spending money is (almost - depends who you ask!) limitless.

and

the kids don't even know yet. kept a secret this whole time (they think we are going to Centre Parcs cos of the suitcases). This is how we are going to tell them:



Get to the airport (am parking there - will tell them stopping for a drink or summin) - get video camera going and give the a letter each with one that says "Open me First". This letter says sorry guys, not going to centre parcs anymore as a mystery person wants us to go somehwere else - then have to open other letter..

Watch kids be upset for about 10 secs



Then second letter says that the mysetry person is Mickey Mouse an he has invited them to go to DisneyWorld right now!!! Plane is waiting!!!!

Watch kids freak out for about 5 mins (it's all they've gone on about for about 3 years!!)



What a great way to start the Magic. Car - House with a pool - first time on a plane for them (that might be more exciting that the trip!!)

When we first went in 1997, we were the same as you, never been before , never driven abroad before, kids had never been on a plane before, it was an unforgettable experience for all of us!

Thanks guys - I am absolutly bursting at the seems to tell them, but this is what we said we would always do and just two more days to go.

I will certainly try to write a trip report - what I am actually hoping to do is to publish several movies on YouTube with everything that happened. Proper film and everything (i'm going to have a go at the Steven Spielberg thing!!)

I searched for on there the other day and there is a fantastic movie on there by this American guy of their whole Disney trip - inspired!!

If I do I'll send you all the link - you are all such nice people!!

PS - My favourite bit is actually the food!!! I've looked at the Dennys menu online and OMG!!!

Well done...sounds brilliant...

just be warned...kids may be totally confused so you might not get quite such a spontaneous response...we did similar last year. ours are a bit older 9 and 7 at the time....the oldest in particular was very concerned that we didn't have tickets to get into parks etc...it took a bit of reassurance that everything was booked. Hopefully yours being a little younger will just whoop with joy....make sure they are not holding any drinks or ice cream at the time. the holiday will be exhausting but you will love every moment....

Just be warned you will be skint for ever more because you will want to go every year from now on. We are now booking our third trip next year.
