Kind of funny what comes on right after Amazing Race FAMILY. What is it, CSI? They always seem to do sex-related nasty stuff.

Close to Home

The series is about crimes that could very well happen (and do happen) in our own communities.

Ohh. I figured she'd get killed or something.

The Gaghan mom is sure in great physical condition. She has more than done her share!!!

Sorry for continuing this off-topic..it is a work at home brothel of sorts--a bunch of suburban moms....the lead character is trying to find the woman who is organizing the whole thing.

(I don't watch...but they've promoted it enough--that I have gotten the gist of the program).

I too will be watching the Early show for the update on the New Orleans family was elminated ---- curious if their house is OK after Hurricane Katrina.

Also, does any one remember the rumor that Rupert (from Survivor) and his family was supposed to be on this Family Edition of AR????

Still routing for the Gaghan family -- go kiddies!!!!

That rumor didn't go very far, once people realized his DD was only around 5-6 years old, and the min. age for AR Family was 8.

Here is an article on the Schroeder family:

I was liking most of the teams (except the yelling ones from NY) before tonight. Now the only ones I really care for are the Gaghans (LOVE THOSE KIDS!) and the Florida family. Why are all the other teams so down on the Florida family? I don't get it. I remember once in an airport there was something said about them just walking past when another team tried to talk to them but the level of disgust the other teams have for them seems over the top.

I liked the "Desperate Housewives" at first but they are obviously having too much time together!!

I hope anyone going on reality shows is prepared to have anything stupid they say aired for everyone to hear like butt girl saying "when I see the word Alabama I think ugly."

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned (I think it was the Bransen daughter) the girl who mooned the three brothers & sisters (Linz family?) OMG, if my daughter did that I'd likely show her who is boss, but the father only seemed to be laughing too!?! What is with that???

The Gaghan's are great, I love the kids, they are so exhuberant!!! I say good for them, although I'm sure they are probably next to go :( They are always coming in next to last!

I have no idea why the other family's don't like the Weaver's from Florida... All they did was talk to a gate agent for a while at an airport & now all of a sudden they are evil  I don't get that...

"One of the five great lakes" :rotfl: CLASSIC!!

Good to hear that none of the Louisiana teams were harmed, but it is so sad about their house :guilty:

I'm still more and more annoyed by the Weavers and Paolos.....but gotta love those Gaghans! They keep right on going! I bet Phil will hate his job if he has to tell that little girl that they're eliminated :earseek:

Is it bad that I'm starting to be able to guess who's getting eliminated by the editing? Like this episode, I knew the whole time it was going to be the Schroeder family b/c they kept showing the daughter saying how a minute makes all the difference....I think I've watched this show too much :rotfl:

Completely forgot about that! I couldn't believe it! :faint: Guess some people have different ideas on what they think is inappropriate behavior. I feel bad for the poor girl in the Linz family, stuck in that car with three guys who were practically drooling over the Bransen daughters the entire leg.

You know I think I read that somewhere and posted it on this thread, but like you said, no confirmation.

It was in TV Guide before the race started that they were staying with another AR family. Can't remember which one it was though.

Boy, I think truer words were never spoken on this... looking into those blue eyes and telling her they are out... it's going to be a very sad moment... the poor kid & she is SO excited to be there!! It's contagious....

I like the Gaghans and the Weavers. I don't understand why saying one 15 second prayer before each leg of the race (which is what? every day or two?) is too much with the prayers. I say good for them for sticking to what they believe in and not being afraid to show America how they feel. I think the Paola family could really benefit from saying a few prayers together! I did like the sisters in the beginning but they are starting to get on my nerves.

So glad to see the family go that went tonight---my gosh that daughter could do nothing but gripe about the Weaver family and bark at everyone(anyone else think she may have been jealous of the Weaver girls?). Wonder if they feel bad when they see how the acted ont he show? I haven't seen anything that the Weaver's have done to make the other teams dislike them so much--anyone fill me in?
OMG-that Paolo family drives me absolutely nuts!! Those nauseating whiny voices don't seem normal for teenage boys and that mother, wow what could anyone possibly say.......
Honestly my mouth dropped a mile when that one family was driving across the Causeway over Lake Ponchartrain and commented it was "one of the 5 Great Lakes"....YIKES totally wrong side of the United States!
I love the Gaghan family! Those kids are happy all of the time...so nice to see a family who has so much fun together! Really hoping they come out on top!

Re: the praying
(This is, of course, just my opinion on the matter) If they pray before every leg, every task, whatever, for everyone to be safe or happy no matter what the outcome, that's fine with me. But the thing is, it seems like they are also praying for God's help in finding X landmark, or highway Y. It's not so much how often they pray, but what they are praying for. I hope that made sense. I'm trying not to offend anyone.

The whole racetrack thing wasn't as big a deal as I though it was either. I think they handled that pretty well. I know it's hard going back to a scene similar to one where an accident happened. I once flipped my car upside down on an exit ramp in the rain (no one was hurt) and found it really hard to drive on the highway in the rain for the longest time. I can't imagine having to go to a venue similar to one a family member died in.

Wow, it was very eiry watching them in NO last night. I wonder how that long bridge survived the hurricane.

Last season they were in Sir Lanka on the very train that washed away in the Wave. I think they also filmed in Putket a few seasons ago. Wonder if any of there next locations will suffer a big disaster.......

The Schroeders were staying with the Rogers Family (eliminated 2nd), but I tihnk they moved into someplace on their own since then.

Am I the only one here who isn't a fan of the Gaghans? I know they are just kids, but it seems like their superhuman parents to everything. Hopefully this'll catch up to them and get them eliminated soon.

I also look like the only one who loves the Paolos. Not all families in the world are lovey dovey, and the Paolos show us that. Give them a sitcom, and it would be the second coming of Roseanne, I love Mama Paolo.
