Re: the praying
(This is, of course, just my opinion on the matter) If they pray before every leg, every task, whatever, for everyone to be safe or happy no matter what the outcome, that's fine with me. But the thing is, it seems like they are also praying for God's help in finding X landmark, or highway Y. It's not so much how often they pray, but what they are praying for. I hope that made sense. I'm trying not to offend anyone.
The whole racetrack thing wasn't as big a deal as I though it was either. I think they handled that pretty well. I know it's hard going back to a scene similar to one where an accident happened. I once flipped my car upside down on an exit ramp in the rain (no one was hurt) and found it really hard to drive on the highway in the rain for the longest time. I can't imagine having to go to a venue similar to one a family member died in.
