I do tend to believe that editing tends to exaggerate some - but the negative attidude needs to be there to begin with to then become exaggerated by editing.
Charla and Mirna - I had no problem with this team until the airport incident (I think it was in South America) when Charla tried to get pushed up on the standby list for the first flight out by telling the counter agent she needed to get on the flight to get to the doctor. (Um hello - do you think that agent can't see the cameras following you and realize your in a race??) The dad and daughter team were clearly the first to check in for standby on that first flight and C/M's ploy plus Colin's flirting witht he agent put them on the top of the list over the father/daughter - and this caused them to lose the race. I understand that jockeying for position is what the race is all about, and the father/daughter messed up by also failing to get 2 seats on the same plane - but had they been given that standby flight they would have been OK.
From that point on I have had a hard time with C/M. I am impressed by thier ability to communiate in various languages and their determination - but the whinning while doing it is just getting to me.
Chip/Kim -I like them and do agree they seem to be appreciating the journey and not just focusing on the pit stop but I cannot seem to get much enthusiasm for them. He's great with physical challenges and that has kept them in it to this point. The caviar task put them from the last place team to first - let's see if they can stay up front.
Colin/Christie - He seemed so supportive when she started eating that caviar and they were alone. But as soon as the other teams arrived the gloves came off and he turned nasty. They do seem to support and love one another. And they are very smart. All of his obnoxious behavior seems to be a reaction to others so I am not so put off by him. He is confident and I think they have the best chance of winning. They remind me of Zach and Flo.
Bowling Moms - they are a lot of fun and they are enjoying the journey as well. They have just been very very very lucky to this point. Her attitude while digging in the sand last night bothered me. Never give up and give it your best. Complaining about it will never make it better. They were just lucky that the Brothers were so far behind.
The Wonder Twins - Clueless as all heck!! I cannot stand them - I haven't liked them since there first trip to the LA airport. They act like know-it-alls and they don't seem to have a clue.
Brandon and Nicole - I guess they are my pick to win - I admire him standing by his religious beliefs in Russia and not wanting to drink the Vodka. Having true beliefs and sticking by them is admirable. At least more admirable then others actions on the trip. As other posters have said they don't seem to be pushing their beliefs onto others. What sealed it for me was how he took care of her while she was getting sick with the caviar and his admitting that making decisions without her input hindred them as a team and was not the right way to go about things. He learned from his mistakes.
All in all I think this has been a great season - I am jealous they went to Egypt - looks like Africa might be the next stop.
