Thought it would be nice to post a positive experience I had this morning with MS. Must say I have been less than impressed with MS reps over the past year. But this absolutely blew me away. ICalled to link my reservations for split stay in October so that I could get 180 + 10 dining for entire stay in hopes of getting BOG ressie towards end of stay. Unfortunately they are not able to do that , but I ended up speaking with a supervisor To be sure. I told her about my niece's 18th birthday trip and that her only request the entire week is to eat dinner at BOG. She was amazing and actually offered to personally check availability at 180 days out to see if she could make Her birthday extra magical. What?! I will also go online at 6am to try but she is going to try for me if I don't succeed. I suspect she has a special system as she sounded confident she would come up with something. Craziest thing I have ever experienced with MS :)
 
Thanks for posting! We have been members since 1999 and have had great service from MS all these years. Last Nov. when we had to cancel because of DH's hospitalization, MS was absolutely amazing in helping us get points reallocated, getting Cirque tickets refunded and much more. I should take a cue from you and be sure to post positive experiences like this more often. Hope your BOG reservation works out fine!

I can't say I've had anything that nice, and we've only been members for a year, but we have had nothing but positive experiences with MS so far. Also, other than trying to book the Poly the day it opened to all members, I've never waited more than 15 minutes for someone to take my call.
 
I had a really good experiences with MS the other day as well. I was going to do some really complicated stuff with reallocating points to free up specific points etc. The lady I spoke with understood immediately what I was wanting to do (it involved 4 or 5 steps) and quickly got working. And even asked whether I wanted two other things taken care of that made sense in the big picture of my whole reservation process. She was really great! Oh and I did not have any wait at the beginning of my call either!
 
I recently had a wonderful MS experience. Nothing like getting a hard-to-get dinner reservation....but, like a PP, I had a few complicated things I needed done. Moving points around...my head was spinning. She was so helpful....and knew exactly what I was trying to do (I didn't want to lose points) and she was able to guide me through. Years ago I messed up and ended up losing points and vowed to never do so again. We now have a number of contracts and some with different use years...proud to say have not messed up since! Anyway, I made sure to stay on the line for the customer satisfaction survey.

It is so nice to see a "happy" post. I dislike it when the usual "doom and gloom" peeps feel the need to spread their "doom and gloom" about how awful DVC is. I could say the sky was so blue over the MK and the D&G would come up with something depressing or negative to say. I fully realize there are problems with DVC....but nothing is perfect....there are problems everywhere. Having to wait 15 minutes for a MS person to pick up is NOT the end of the world.
 
Well I was online at 6:00 am yesterday for these ADR's and it was not cooperating, called at 7:00 and they said system was down. Kept trying all morning on MDE and no luck. Called again later in the morning and of course BOG was booked. Called MS to see if I could reach the manager I had spoken with last week and she was off yesterday.

Then the Magic actually happened. Received a call this morning at 9:00 am from her, and true to her word, said she had a BOG ressie set aside for me for the night we wanted . I have no idea how she was able to do this, but she just said she wanted to make my niece's 18th birthday special. When I called my niece today to tell her, she was in tears she was so happy. Truly amazing, and a DVC experience I will never forget (and I have been a DVC member for 15 years!)

Great ending to your story! Thanks for posting! I know that there are DISers who are disillusioned with DVC but I am not because of stories like this.
 
So happy that things worked out for you. I so agree with jekjones. Although I agree that things have changed with DVC (i.e. cost cutting changes), I do get tired of the same DISers that jump into nearly every conversation with something negative to say about Disney probably 90% of the time. I really don't get what they are trying to prove. I sometimes think some of these people actually work for another time share company or something.

I do have sympathy for those that buy through re-sale and then are completely lost as to how to use their membership. Or have inflated expectations of what they are actually buying. It took a few years for me to really understand. And back then, we only had MS to rely on and not message boards.

Thanks so much...I bought resale, and learned the ropes myself so it does take some work, but I was happy to do it! MS has always been very helpful and a good experience for the most part. My frustrations of late are with Disney technology, not DVC , and not being able to book ADR's for entire stay with a split -stay DVC ressie, and the fact that I could not book my ADR's this week at 180+10 for either stay even though my ressies were both linked on MDE (would only let me book the 1st day, and then one day at a time after that, no idea why!) I am concerned I will have the same problem with FP+ at 60 days out. But this one special experience sure does go a long way in keeping me a happy DVC member for sure!

There have been reports of 180+10 not working for DVC reservations for a while (at least not online). I'm not sure what happened. It worked for me for Dec 2013 trip, but by the time my Nov 2014 trip rolled around, it didn't work anymore. I have faith it will get fixed ... eventually.
 
Yes ...I am trying to have faith! We do deserve to be able to make ADR's the same way as everyone else I would think. Glad to know it isn't just me!
 
I am having trouble with ADRs also. The good news is that after 16 years of ownership I really can just roll with the punches.
