Amazing airfare

I have not ever posted much,my daughter and i lurk...alot, but i just have to share with people who will appreciate this great information. Last night i just booked airfare out for a trip to DL in 58 days. And you will not believe the deal i got. I booked on travelocity...i got roundtrip tickets from dallas to CA for.......$109 per person, $123 with tax. Flying the entire family out for under $500. I booked a direct flight on united airlines. Soooo proud of myself When i came across the airfare, i stopped my husband told him he had to decide and like the dates right now, because if i got up this morning and the price was higher i would die.

Nicely done!! I am hoping to find a deal along those lines for my trip in about a year!! The way it's looking now the airfare for myself and my boyfriend could be around $900-$1000, that's a third of the cost of the whole trip!!

Perhaps try looking at some smaller airports in Los Angeles area? Good luck!

Woo Hoo! Lucky you! We have a small airport and it is expensive to fly anywhere. The exception being Allegiant Air which thankfully flys to LAX!!!

That is AMAZING considering I live in NOR CAL and was looking to go down to DL in February and right now ONE WAY is 113 bucks. OUTRAGOUS! I just can't believe where they are getting off charging these fares. I mean Sac to LA is barely and hour flight and they are charging round trip what I usually play to fly to the east coast. It is insane! We have had to drive the last few times because of it but we wanted to go for a 4 day weekend trip and I really can't justify driving for that short of a trip but with the airfares that high it probably means not going. Cuz I just can't stomach paying that much! The crazy part is I was able to get 80 rt tix to the same destination for a holliday weekend in Nov! Go figure!

It's the same for out of Reno! It's crazy high! $204.00 into LAX for Thanksgiving... last year it was $130.00!

You might consider, based on how close you are to the border, to fly from an American airport since flying from Canada to the US is technically international and thus costs more. We find it's cheaper to get a ride down to Detroit and fly from there.

I live in Victoria BC and I am flying down in oct with JET BLUE out of seattle...I think we got 209 per person. It is worth the cost to drive down and pay to park your car.

I think you're right. I paid considerably more. Does anyone know if Jet Blue honors sale prices on tickets that are already booked?

We paid $79 each way from PDX to LGB for our trip in September. I keep hoping to see those fares again.

Maybe. It doesn't hurt to try. 1-800-JetBlue.

They dropped nearly 200 since I bought them...990 for 5 tickets from seattle to long beach.

Give them a call. We got $153 back (in travel credit). Not sure if you'll get the run around since you booked through Expedia but it may be worth the five minutes it takes to call.

I emailed expedia to see what they say then I will try...is there an expirey when you have to use the credit?
