Went to AK early then went to check into room AKL. AK was open until 7 so I decided to head back late afternoon. Got there at 5:30 and did the following:
Dinosaur 3 times, primeval whirl, Expedition Everest, and Kali.

Shhh... don't tell them! :lmao:

Animal Kingdom in the evening is one of our favourite things to do at Disney. I'm especially excited for our April trip, as they'll be open until eight and nine every night.

I love walking around that park in the dark, and riding all the empty rides!

Evening AK is the best...

My Daughter and I have rode Everest 5 or 6 times in about an hour or so period seeing who can do the funniest "ride photo"...

We've done this at DHS while Fantasmic is on. We actually got to ride TSMM back to back without getting off because there wasn't anyone in the line!

You just made my day - our plane lands around 3:15 tomorrow at MCO and after checking in at AKL I was planning on heading to AK just to see if we could jump on EE. So excited to hear how empty it was for you and very hopeful about tomorrow - thank you for sharing! :goodvibes

We have only been in AK once at night, and I LOVED it. We are always there in May and it is still daylight at 7:00 p.m. But 4 years ago I was there in November and was there till closing, which meant I got to see it in the dark. I love this park. Seems like I never have enough time in a day to tour it because I really like to go slowly and enjoy the animals. Maybe one year we can do a day and a half in AK:goodvibes

AK in the evening is now one of my favourite things to do! I'd been dying to see it after dark or a while, and this past Dec we finally got to, and it was amazing!

Glad you had fun!! :cool1:

Me too... we are arriving May 5th around 2:45pm at MCO. After checking into hotel we plan to high tail it over to AK to ride Everest a few times and eat at Yak and Yeti (hopefully without FP or ADRs) then head to HS which is open till 10pm then has eve. emh till midnight. :yay:

We have a short trip planned so if we can ride Everest that first night we all decided we were comfortable giving up our planned half day at AK to get a day at TL which we haven't done in years. So glad to hear the park clears out the last couple of hours of the day.

You guys are killing me! lol The first day we are there I had planned to go to AK during the day, then MK that evening for EMH. Now I am not sure what to do because I just realized that AK is open till 9PM!!

eta: I wonder if we could leave the park in the afternoon before the parade (or do rides during the parade?), get back to our hotel if the kids want to swim, have dinner and then head back to AK and THEN to MK after that? or would it be too insane. We'll be at AOA, so i am not sure of transportation from AOA to AK to MK.
