I haven't been there, but, aside from the responses you'll get here, try searching youtube. You might get a buncha reviews / videos that could be helpful.
To answer directly, yes, I ate there in March of this year and it was a wonderful experience. The food and service were excellent, and I plan to return on our next trip to WDW. I ate at Il Mulino on an earlier trip and it was pretty sub-par in terms of quality (service was good), so I had low expectations with Amare but was happily surprised.
We ate there in Feb. We found it to be quite small and a bit loud, part of that could have been the very loud and needy, large table next to us that had crabby crying children throwing themselves on the ground and wailing. Parents were slow to remove them until the screaming started. My food was was meh and unless I was looking at a menu could not even tell you what I had for my app or entree. DH had a meh app but loved his fish. It was the one cooked in paper (nice presentation). Our server repeatedly refreshed my DH drink and would come back and say oh did you want another, I'll get that shortly and then disappeared never to return. It was a rough night and a one and done for us. YMMV
We ate there in early March. Very much enjoyed the experience! Started with the prawn app, then tried a flatbread, and finally split the porterhouse. Oliver, our server, was attentive and efficient. Really made the night special. We will be back!
Really enjoyed our meals there. Is becoming our go-to for a nice dinner in that area, as our previous favorite, bluezoo, has really seemed to take a downturn lately.
