Amanda's Heading to the Beach Journal! Feedback Welcomed!

Good Morning! I just returned from my workout at Curves and my official weigh in is still at 166! Even after weighing myself on Tues and seeing a huge 171 staring back at me. So I do not need to adjust my ticker.

Today is my free day although I am not going to go crazy either ;)

Exercise: Curves :)
Vitamins: they are at work I'll take them there.
Water - 8 glasses (I only got in 4 yesterday)
Food:
b: half bagel w/no sugar added strawberry jelly - 14 carbs
l: ?
d: Wedding reception food.

Last night after work it actually cooled off quite a bit. So I rolled the windows down and opened the sun roof. I had Gwen Stefani blaring in my little car as I cruised :moped: down the highway. It put me in a great mood and woke me up so that when I got home I was able to spend time with my hubby. With the dread of going into the office today :badpc: I popped in a new CD that Disney sent me from the cruise. The first track is the whistle from the ships horn. That had me smiling before I pulled out of my driveway. I listen to the island style music my whole way to work and it really had me :banana: it is nice to start the day with a little pixie dust!

Hey Amanda- isn't it crazy how music can affect your mood? I always put on the Disney parade CD (or, now, MP3 file) when I'm in a bad mood, and it usually does the trick.

Thanks, btw, for putting that fudge pop/peanut butter dessert on here (few pages back)...I had that yesterday and it seemed to literally save my day(OK- I'm being a bit dramatic).

Happy Father's Day

Well it is a good thing I ate semi-healthy on Friday because yesterday everywhere I went there were unhealthy foods. Not to mention that the 5K walk I thought my family and I were doing changed to a 1 mile stroll :rolleyes: Oh well, it was for a good cause - Race for the Cure.

Today I'm a bit out on the limb as well. We are going to my SIL's for lunch, she is serving burgers - I think I might pick up a bag of salad as well. Dinner will be Red Lobster with my dad. I'm going to look over the menu before I go and settle on something before I even get there. That way there is no questions and I don't even have to open the menu.

Exercise today - not sure. I may get to go for a quick 2 mile walk between my SIL's thing and my Dad's thing. We'll just play it by ear.

I love Red Lobster. There are healthy things on the menu besides salad. It is a happy place. How is our dad doing, sweetie? Your plan for a salad and burger for lunch s a good one.

Someone should find the S.O.B. Capitalist man (and you know it was a man!) who decided the 5 day 40 hour work week with only 2 days of rest was a good idea. And when they find him they should drag him out into a busy street and shoot him. :crazy:

My weekend was so busy I feel more tired today then I did on Friday! I've completely lost my voice and feel like I'm dragging an 18-wheeler behind me. No I didn't stick to my plan very well yesterday, but I also didn't over indulge. The no voice should be interesting today since my job is to talk to clients over the phone :rolleyes:

Back to plan today! I am trying to get out of work tonight on the fact that I don't feel good. I need to go to the grocery store and then home. Sweet home :cloud9: .

Plan:
exercise: rest day. This week will look like this (tues. p.m., thurs a.m., fri p.m. Sunday - walk)
Water - 8 glasses
vitamins: w/breakfast
food - 35 carbs or less
b: 3 egg omelet with green peppers, mushrooms, and ham (5 carbs)
l: ???? No idea - like I said I need to go grocery shopping. (under 10 carbs)
d: ??? Hopefully I'll pick up something good at the grocery store.

I am feeling a bit better today. I went to the Doctor and basically she said to not talk and drink hot liquids. I'm at work today but I am going to try and do as much by email as possible.

Yesterday I drank 4 glasses of water and then 4 glasses of hot sugar free apple cider - I am counting this as water since it is caffine free. Vitamins were taken. Food was a bit off. I didn't over eat or over indulge but I'm pretty sure I ate more then 35 carbs.
b: omelet - 5 carbs, l: 10 crackers w/ cheese-20, d: egg drop soup, small amount of sesame chicken and rice. - ? s: low carb ice cream bar - 5 carbs

Today's plan:
b: berry mix - 9 carbs
l: Either Tuna Salad or small salad w/ Turkey - 5 carbs
d: Grilled Chicken Breast and steamed broccoli - 5 carbs
s: Low Carb ice cream - 5 carbs
Total 24 carbs, means I have 11 carbs to play with.

Exercise: Curves after work.
Vitamins: Taken :)
Water: 8 glasses

I am not counting the carbs in my hot cider since it is a requirement right now that I drink it.

OK, you know best, but do you really think that it's in your best interest to workout tonight when you're sick? I don't know, call me a "mom" or something :rolleyes: , but it rubs me the wrong way--I think you should go home and rest. There I said it. Now you decide what to do with it. :p

Hi Mom, I mean Erin ;)
I would skip my workout if I felt ill - but I don't. I actually feel really well rested today, I just can't talk ;) The Dr. thinks I just strained my voice to much over the weekend and that it is not viral. I'll have to be extra good at Curves to not talk over the music :banana:

Good Morning! I'm feeling great today. Grounded for a change and I haven't felt like that in awhile. Of course you all know me and there is some family drama circling around me but I am trying to push it away for the moment and be thankful for all that is actually going right in my life.

I was able to wear a pair of pants to work that 2 weeks ago didn't fit. They are still sort of tight in the butt and thigh area but I almost think it is the way they were made. I'll have to look into it a bit more, but for the moment I am feeling thin and confident. I love that feeling!

Yesterday was good and I am giving myself a :) for food even though I went over the 35 carbs. I never binged and I made healthy choices. just to recap: b: berry mix - 9 carbs, l: Creamy Shrimp and Veggies - 10 carbs, s: string cheese - 2 carbs d: english muffin pizza - 30 carbs s: 2 low carb ice cream bars - 10 carbs total: 61 carbs.
Exercise :)
Vitamins :)

I have a busy day ahead of me (when am I not?) so I am thinking about my food choices early.
Food: 35 carbs or less!

d: Grilled chicken breast, veggies. (I was suppose to have this last night for dinner) - 5 to 7 carbs

Okay I'm back! I was running around like a crazy woman this morning. I have a long work day ahead of me - a nice 12 hour day. But I feel prepared for it because I have a plan. *cue music*

total: 27 carbs gives me 8 carbs for snacks and stuff.

I love starting the day with 2 :) already done. Makes it seem like I have less to handle. I took a peak at the scale today and it says I'm down another pound! :) I'm thinking at the beginning of the month I'll be brave enough to have my measurements done again at Curves.
