How can you get a patio/beachside table? Do you just request one when you check in for reservation?

You should try and include that information on your reservation. If you can't, I would show up early and request it.

We have been at Aulani three times. We always requested a table by the window and have once had to wait a few extra minutes to get it, but always have. Not sure what a beachside table is? The best view is from the Tsbles in the main part of the restaurant that overlook the lagoon.
