Am i worrying over nothing...........

Hi guys,
I am just alittle worried.
I have boked OKW for Sept this year,we booked at the 11 month window,and requested a non smoking room as our main request.What will happen if we check in and they say that we have to have a smoking room if there are no non smoking rooms left?
I know the front desk are usualy very good with requests because last year we booked OKW with only 2 days notice and they were great,they moved us to a non smoking room,as we had been allocated a smokers room.
Has this happened to anyone else or do you think i am worrying over nothing.

In all of our stays we have never been given a smoking room. And some of our reservatins have been made at the last minute (By last minute, I mean under 2 months). Last year we even came through on the waitlist for BWV after the 30 days mark and we still got our request for nonsmoking. I would think that you would have no problems since you made reservations 11 months out. From what I understand they honor requests by the date that the reservation was made.

madmouse, back in my smoking days I always had a hard time getting a smoking room (perhaps my wife pre-arranged that). If I had to bet, I would say no problem. Have Fun!

I think you are probably worrying about nothing. From the posts on the board, it seems like the division of rooms between smoking and nonsmoking villas is such that it is much more likely for a smoker to get stuck with a nonsmoking villa than vice versa (especially with a request at the 11 month window). It is of course POSSIBLE you could have a problem, but I sure would not worry about it if your request has been noted. I think this is also a situation that would be one of the easier requests to accomodate even if there was a problem, given the number of nonsmoking villas they would have available as possible places to move you there is probably a good chance of at least one being available.

Make it clear this is a request and don't check in late at night. If there are medical reasons, make that clear as well.
