I need an honest opinion. We are booked for one night at VGC for the first Thursday in May but we had to wait-list for the following Friday night (we leave the next morning, Sat. for Aulani ;-). Given how small GVC is what are the chances our wait-list will actually come through? I just need to know if I should give up on some pixie dust???

What size unit? If you are looking for a 1BR or larger, I'd say you have a fair chance of getting the one night. Studios seem to have less turnover (or at least less turnover making it to the website as 'available'). The good news: I've been doing rather well on my "last minute" waitlists at GCV lately -- but sometimes they drag out right to the 30 day mark.

Keep the waitlist going and stalk inventory online. Be prepared to snag a larger unit for the two nights should that suddenly surface. Or, be prepared to make alternate arrangements at the very last minute?

Well all we need is a studio. Guess worst case we can stay at PP!

I had 2 one night wait lists for June at VGC one bedroom.The first one for 6/20 came through at 6 months 3 weeks and the one for 6/19 came through at 4 months 3 days. I feel you still have plenty of time for your wait list. I stalked the website ever since I booked and would see different nights pop up now and then.

I waitlisted a studio for a Friday night in late September last year in June and it never came through. We wanted to add a night to attend the first MNSSHP. We ended up at PPH.
