hmmm I am thinking hard... my fiance and I are going on a 3 night 4 day quickie honeymoon. I am thinking of NOT making ANY PS's All of our past and likely future trips will include our kids.

we kinda want to just hang out and go commando one day and be laid back and lovey dovey *wink wink* the next.

Am I risking eating counter service every single meal? YICK!!

we are going 29 mar-03 apr

It may depend on when you are going. If it's a busy time and you really want to get in to one particular place, make a PS. Since it doesn't sound like that, I wouldn't worry about making any PS's. You should be able to get in places without TOO much trouble. Have a great Disney-moon!

I think that's a great idea! Who wants to plan every second of their Honeymoon anyway?? Who wants to plan #%$ around PS's?

Hit the restaurants in DTD on YOUR schedule and have a blast!! Even at Fulton's, you can grab a table on the front of the boat under the moonlight with no PS's and have a wonderful romantic meal.

Enjoy :p

When DH & I did an anniversay trip without kids in October we made PS's only 2 out of the 4 nights we were there & we made them the day of right from our resort.

I don't think I'd make PS's before hand. When are you going? Even if you don't have a PS during a busy time of year I can't imagine it would be too long of a wait to seat 2 people.

Enjoy the honeymoon - you'll eat if you get hungry enough!

If you eat at off hours then you can get sit downs without PS's anyway. We like to eat lunch at around 2 so that we don't fight crowds, and schedule breakfast at about 10:30 to avoid lunch crowds.

Hate to be the one dissenter, but here is my experience: My sister and I went in November and there was one night I didn't make a PS. I figured we'd play it by ear - how croweded can it be in November, right? (this was the beginning of November, not near Thanksgiving). Well, we could not find anywhere that had a wait of less than 2 hours (Downtown Disney). We finally wound up going back to the resort and eating at Cape May...I normally avoid buffets like the plague, but we were desperate. Even then, we still had to wait about 45 minutes.

You can always make a PS and then cancel if you decide to do something else. At least that way you know you're guaranteed of a nice sit-down meal.

I make a few dinner PS's each trip, and these are 'possibilities'. We NEVER feel like we are chained to that reservation unless it's truely where we want to eat that night. Since we love Boma's, I usually request it for a couple nights, and we decide which one we want (I always call to cancel, so no guilt feelings.)

Most of the time we go with the flow and make a PS that afternoon or eve, or possibly the day before.
Congratulations, and hope you have a great trip!
