Am I too late

I don't have a dress for my VR. I found one I like online however I would like to try it on. Pretty much I am late to even get a dress for my wedding from what the bridal shop people are telling me. We are having the VR the end of Sept.

Every thing else I know what I want, its just anything to do with the bride(me) I have no clue to what it is going to be.

Please tell me I am not too late.

Can you buy it directly from the website? That's ridiculous the bridal shop is telling you that you can't have a dress. I think it will be pretty close but I'm sure you can get a dress. I would check around to see what online places can do for you. I have a feeling they move a little faster.

I found the dress at an online retailer for a great price. They have some dresses that can be shipped out in 4-6 weeks although I don't know if your's is one.

Thanks I appreciate that. The only thing is I was hoping to try it on, I'm a little heavy and I do like how it looks in the picture but that is a chance I might hate it on me. I have no clue what to do. Is this how it is finding any wedding dress, they don't have one to try on you have to hope you like it enough once you get it?

ElleBren, it's true that some dresses take 6 months to get from the manufacturer, but a lot of times bridal shops inflate the amount of time it takes to get your gown and then sit on your money for a few months before ordering it. If that shop really wanted your business, they'd make it happen.

You should have no trouble ordering it from the website IndyBride posted. Also, since you have the style number, you may be able to find it on eBay!

Definitely try it on first at another shop. Somebody is bound to have it - or even a similar style that would give you some idea how it will look.

Can you go try it on the bridal store, and see how it looks then go buy it online? (Since they are not willing to sell it to you anyway!)

Can you go to a bridal salon and ask to try on that dress? Go to the Venus website and it should tell you where you can try the dress on. That's what my plan was. Try on the dress and then go with which ever route was cheaper. Then if they say they can get it in on time you can go through the salon.

You all are great. I've just spent an hour on the phone trying to find one shop within 30 miles of here to see if they have it to try on and all of them said that they don't have it in stock. It doesn't seem to be a popular dress so I guess no one stocks it. I guess I will have to find something else.

What about PA? or DE? Depending on where you are in Jersey, you can try the other states too! Maybe go to the bridal salon's in your area and see if they have something similar!

Oooo thanks for the link. I bookmarked it for the future. I have been looking at gowns for my Dec 2010 VR but had a hard time finding anything that would give me an idea of prices online.

I checked out the store locator and Russell in Linden is a great store. It is very large and they have a larg assortment of dresses. Not sure where you are in NJ (I am about 40 minutes south of Linden) but I would definately give them a call.

I wanted to add it is amazing how many NJ brides there are on this website.
