Am I the only weirdo... (PotC related)

Okay, now don't get me wrong. I absolutely LOVED At World's End, but am I the only weirdo that found Dead Man's Chest to be the best of the trilogy? Most people are saying At World's End was the best and a few are still sticking with Curse of the Black Pearl. Please tell me I'm not alone.

I liked dead man's chest better. The third movie was a bit too complicated to follow but i still loved it. The fact that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is that it actually takes place IN the Caribbean, while the third one was all over. Especially, i felt that the third wasn't very much pirate like as much as it was just rebelling against the East India Trading Co.. I TOTALLY agree with you.

I was hoping when I saw the title of this that you thought you were wierd becasuse you thought Jack Sparrow is way to flaming to be considered a true man.... which is my thoughts about his character, and I guess I am still alone on that..

Have not seen POTC 3 yet, so no comment on which of the 3 I like best.

Personally I liked the third one better but number two is really good. Alot of my friends like it because they aren't exactly "diehard pirate fans" and they find 2 less complicated.

No, personally I liked DMC the best of all three but then I have only seen "AWE" once so I am reserving my total judgement.

I do know I did not care the the Tia Dolma scene where she turns into Calypso at all.

Tia D had the potential of being a very deep and exciting character in this series and since I believe the series not to be over with AWE. I really think they should have expanded her character more and been more creative with her turning back into Calypso.

But hey what do I know.

I loved At World's End the best. I just loved all the misty scenes and the colors in the movie. The plot and dialogue was perfect and I like all the old things from the first movie being brought back into this one. The costumes were great I loved all of Kiera's costumes. It is by far my favorite.

Speaking of things being brought back from other movies, there was one thing that wasn't in the third movie that was in the first two that my fiance and I were disappointed was missing, because it was really funny in the first two films.

Not really a spoiler, but in white font, just in case: Jack didn't make any Eunuch jokes about Will in this movie. I thought that was hilarious when they carried that over to DMC.

I agree about that joke, Mint, along with several other things. I didn't see many of the verbal CBP references in AWE as I did in DMC. I was disappointed. I think it would have made the movies connect better. And it makes them all the more funny.

I think Dead Man's Chest may have been the best, AWE was a little hard to follow. But I thought all three were GREAT, with DMC the best and CotBP the least best. But still awesome.

I actually liked Curse of the Black Pearl the best.... I guess I'm the only weirdo that likes it best though. I don't know why, it's just my favorite.

Ok, maybe i am the weird one...
I like At World's End the best... and I like DMC the least... idk I thought DMC was boring compared to both AWE and COTBP.. I seriously seen that movie maybe once or maybe twice..
yeah DMC, led up to AWE, and AWE couldn't stand on its own without DMC... but DMC has something different than the other two that makes me not like it...

Yep, I agree with that entirely. I've been thinking the same thing. Though it doesn't mean they can't pick up where they left off with Jack, still, for a fourth movie.

Okay, now, let me pose one more question: Is PotC possibly the best movie trilogy of all time?

I say it is. Think about all the major trilogies: Lord of the Rings, Matrix, Star Wars (old and new trilogies), Back to the Future, etc. I know at least one person will say Star Wars is better, but I've never enjoyed all three movies of a trilogy like I have with Pirates. What do you all think?
