I used to lose it during the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade. Like full out ugly cry. I don't have the same reaction to Festival of Fantasy so that's good
you're not alone.
i cry during "we go on".
i also cry during "let there be peace on earth".
i watched a video of the holiday version the other day and i was crying like a baby and proud of it.
I cry at everything. My H lovingly calls me rainstorm. Since we'll be there the same time, maybe we'll be blubbering messes standing next to each other.
Please I tear up everytime a Disney commercial comes on TV... And I definitely get goosebumps during Illuminations! It's very moving, we love that music so much we bought a CD from a store in Epcot with it on there!
The music, lights and the fireworks at all Disney evening events are just so powerful you can't help but be moved. Especially that Fanfare followed by the chorus of "Wishes" get me every time I'm even tearing up typing this
I am looking forward to crying at Rivers of Light and the Star Wars fireworks show along with my usual tears at Wishes and Illumination on my next trip.
My dad played the guitar and my aunt sang "we go on" at my wedding. So yes I cry every. single. time. In fact I'm tearing up right now. Can't wait to see it again next week!

This is me too! Every single show, anytime a child is singing, when I have to leave and I say goodbye to each park on the last day...this is why I buy stock in waterproof mascara!
I have a lump in my throat just reading this thread.
Oh yes. Big crier here. At Disney, at concerts, at movies, at TV shows, over books & commercials. Music hits me especially hard, so when you combine that with the magic of Cinderella's castle, the tears are inevitable. I don't remember the last day I didn't cry over something sweet I see/read online or when my kids have everyday victories--and when they perform on stage--forget it, I'm a crying fool. When we are together and see something sweet or sad on TV or in a movie, my kids actually look over at me, waiting for the waterworks! It makes then smile and brings comfort to them! LOL I would be willing to bet most Disney fans are a bit more in touch with their emotions than those that aren't.
IllumiNations definitely gets me. The music is so perfectly beautifully written and the story it tells is one of hope and truth. The moment where the music slowly swells and plays an instrumental version of We Go On (just about 2 mins before the real song plays)....that's where it gets me and my wife every time.
I always cry during Illuminations. Wishes as well, but Illuminations seems to be a little harder. And it's usually the last show we see on each trip, since we are always at BWV. That surely doesn't help.
Hehe. Fair enough. But while I think they are both great, they have been there for a long, long time virtually unchanged. I'm confident that Disney could come up with excellent new shows.
No shame in that. I am a 23 male and everytime i hear the, what i assume is a little girl, start singing the first verse of wishes, i tear up everytime. It strikes a cord in me that brings back some nostalgic memories of when my entire family used to go and gives me this feeling of absolute "magic" i cannont explain it. But when i think of why i go back to wdw religiously i reference that feeling
Any type of big build-up drives me to tears when we finally get the payoff. Concert openings, beginning sequences in movies, entrances at the start of NFL games, etc. I really cry when that train pulls up at the Magic Kingdom during the opening.
