who boycotts Blech Friday? I refuse to partake of the insanity.

if i can't get it online or before Thanksgiving, we pretty much just don't get it.
anybody else?

I do not set foot outside of my house that day! I stay home, eat leftovers, watch Christmas movies, decorate the house, and do some online shopping.

I've not participated in Black Friday since 2001. I've gone once in my life and that was enough, what I experienced was just horrible. Rude people willing to push, shove and step on others to save $$.

I don't go out either, although its usually because I am working. I find it much easier to shop online, in fact I found great deals yesterday online since some stores were offering sales online then instead of waiting until today or tomorrow when the instore sales start!

I love to shop with my Mom and only see her a couple of times a year. We will probably go out around 2 or 3pm tomorrow and poke around at Pier One, Marshalls/Home Goods and Charming Charlies. Hopefully the insanity is over by then; we realy have a good time shopping together.

Except for stocking stuffers I am done. I don't like the hullabaloo on Black Friday. I may pay more for items purchasing them before the holidays, but to me it is worth it to not worry about whether it is in stock or not and the crowds.

Plus, I buy most items online now. We are an hour away from most department stores, and even after I pay shipping it is still less than gas and the time it takes to get everywhere.

What I don't get are the people that camp out for 24 hours or more to "save" $100. That's only a little over $4 an hour! My time is worth a LOT more than that.

I refuse to participate in the "black friday" insanity!! People become savages over material items and don't care what they have to do to get them, including killing someone ---- remember Wal Mart a few years ago?? People trampled the security guard to death over some freaking TVs and gaming systems????? Each of those people cannot say they didn't know they were STEPPING ON A HUMAN BEING. Freaking animals. I hope they enjoyed their material items while a family was burying their son/husband/father.

Nope, all my shopping is done with the exception of 2 small items for my daughter --- 1 of which I will get online the other I'll get next weekend --- and, of course, some stocking stuffers (easy enough to pick up here and there)

Tomorrow? I'll be working to pay for it all! Cash only this year, no overspending w/credit cards!!!!

I think its silly - to be honest I dont think anything is worth what people go through... I dont think the deals are even that good - usually you can get the same or even better sales if you are smart and savoy shopper :) I will not be shopping Tomorrow I may however check out American Girl Cyber Monday Sale :)

I've done Black Friday in the past but will not be going out this year. When my twins were smaller I did get some very good deals on toys. I've become savvier and taken advantage of clearance and earlier deals that are better than what I've seen in the ads this year. Yay for sleeping in!

I am not a black friday fan either...however last year I did go out with my daughter, a good friend and her daughter and mother and had a good time. However it started at midnight at our local mall and we stayed out until about 2:30 I think. Then it messes up your sleep for the next couple of days. It was fun though. I have sometimes gone out later in the day to maybe one store but I am not a die hard at all. I find TOO MANY great deals online between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The closer it gets to Christmas the better the deals....percentages off and free shipping. :thumbsup2

I may go out later in the day but I have never rushed to get something that is "big" on sale. Except for a few stocking stuffers, I'm done and bought it through out the year. Tomorrow I have a 2 hour swim practice before we are going to the movies.

The ONLY time I am ever willing to be shoulder-to-shoulder with crowds of people is in Disney! :)

No way. Black Friday here starts by putting on Santa hats, cranking the christmas tunes, and putting up the tree. We stay cozy and happy at home. When the cukoos are running about from line to line, I'll be sipping eggnog!!

The only Black Friday shopping I am willing to do is from home in my pajamas. If I cant get the discount online, I don't need it.

count me in. i worked in retail for years and would do some light shopping in my mall, but that was usually for me because there were good deals on clothes. i went to a clothing store last year on my way home from work and they were out of like everything :confused3 yesterday i was surfing the deals online and there was nothing i really wanted or needed. i would like some $1 dvds from target but ill take a peek there saturday morning, if they are out by then i just dont buy them. my family always wants very specific gifts and we go for a few big things that really aren't black friday type deal things.

We don't go always just when there is things that we needed. Last year was big for us we need new laptop, a TV and some other electronics. We got everything in our list and we didn't experience any chaos. We save over $2000 so it was well worth our time. We didn't wait in line too long either. Now if I was only going to save a couple of dollars then no.

Unless Theresa's something we REALLY need we stay home. I did send do to toys r us one year because there were several good sales and we knocked off every child on our list. Otherwise we will just look online if we need anything.

No, I do not shop on Black Friday either.

I have no desire to interact with people who think it is acceptable to behave in the manner that many people behave on Black Friday.
