Am I the only one?

Especially Cars2. Quite a number of parents complained that it was too adults for little children with the whole James Bond type action and theming. As adults, we loved it!

Yes!:thumbsup2

I remember thinking "this is too grown up for DS" and many parts of it were totally over his head. DS definitely preferred the 1st one to Cars 2. But personally, both were good. Even DH (who HATES disney movies) watched them and said they were ok. Which from DH is like a super, big, happy, thumbs up.:thumbsup2

I've never heard anyone say that they've liked Super Star Limo before. I think I just threw up in the back of my mouth a little. I might have to go home early if I don't start feeling better... ;)

I didn't love it. It was cute for what it was, not spectacular, but it wasn't Disney's equivalent to water-boarding like some make it out to be. :rotfl2:

DD(6) is right there with you. The kid actually cheered that we were going the week before Carsland opened so we wouldn't make her go in that part of the park. She really doesn't like either of the Cars movies, never has. I've never seen the 2nd movie. She saw it without me (only because a friend wanted to watch it with her), and she has never been willing to sit down and watch it again with me. She is not a fan of Test Track either, so she has no desire to ride RSR. I; however, would LOVE to ride RSR! As for the rest of Carsland, I could take it or leave it. It looks like a pretty well done area though from the pictures I have seen.

I have to admit, its not that big of a draw to me right now, but after next week when I go there, maybe I'll feel different! I will also add that I am excited to see Carsland, it looks very well themed and immsersive which is right up my Disney alley. But as for RSR itself, its not the reason we are going next week in the slightest.

Our 20th is on July 11th and we planned long ago to spend our anniversary in DL. Which at times has made me wonder if we had the right idea given all this Carsland hoopla. However, I am now getting from various sources that its not making DLR as a whole a madhouse which makes me very happy.

I know I'll ride it, and I am betting my kids will single rider that thing quite a bit, but for me, what I am excited about regarding this ride is that DL itself appears to be quieter than usual which will be heaven.

Again, I may ride it and be pumped up, but I won't be spending a bulk of any of my four days waiting to ride RSR.

My husband and I feel the same way. We're going at the end of the month, and I have a feeling that once my kids find out we're going (I can't wait!), they'll feel the same way. Neither are fans of the movie, and there is so much else to see and do there.

Ok, I take this back! It was the first thing my daughter asked about when we told them we're going to DLR, and my son is excited about it too. They've seen both movies with their grandparents, and my husband and I had not. So, we rented Cars 2 tonight (they didn't have Cars), and now we're officially excited about CL.

I've actually never seen any of the Cars movies. And my DD is far more interested in the princesses and Mickey and Jack than she is in Cars, but my guess is that we'll see it before we go.

If the lines are going to be as long as they are now when we go in November, I can't see us waiting for RSR (we can't do single rider since DD will only be 4).

It looks like fun, but I'm not going to go home sad if we don't go on all the new rides.

I put off seeing the first movie for a couple of years after it came out. Like you, I'm not into car racing or anything like that (although I do love cars!). I was surprised how much I liked the movie once I saw it, and even went to the the theater to see the second one. I love the characters and how they relate to each other. Even though I don't have little kids who are super into it, I'm still looking forward to going!
