Am I the Only One

:thumbsup2 Like a PP, it doesn't matter to me how comfy Crocs are...I find them quite unsightly and would never buy a pair to wear in public. I tried my first ones on the other week, and MAN, were they ever comfy, but I think I'll stick to my Doc Marten sandals. They've taken me to Eastern Europe and China (including climbing the Great Wall!) as well as DL and WDW, and I've never, ever had any problems with them. Of course, to each his/her own- I'm sure Crocs are the only shoes that some people are able to wear comfortably.

I swore that I would never get any either until I saw a really good deal and got them for $17.00. I figured I would see what the hype was all about and if I didn't like them I would take them back. Well...... I ended up keeping them because these ones are actually cute. Plus being comfortable helps too. They are cute white mickey ones. However, right now I will only wear them with jeans.

I'm with most of you here ... The original Crocs are definitely ugly although I might try a pair of the new flip-flop variety. Most likely will stick to my cheap Tevas and Pali Hawaii sandals.

Bonny

I can't stand the original Crocs either, even if they are comfortable. But I DO absolutely love my flip-flop Croc Athens. They are also very comfortable and light. I tend to forget that I have them on :).

As you get older and have numerous aches & pains, looks just don't matter. I wore New balance before I go my first crocs. Haven't had them on since.

After seeing how cute they look on my 4 year old, I decided to order myself a white pair with the mickey heads. Tried them on and laughed at how ugly they are! :lmao: I looked like I had huge clown feet, so they are going back.

Not at all. I don't care HOW "comfy" they're supposed to be, there's just one word: YUCK!!!:scared:

I agree. My husband and I see them everywhere!! The are grody looking shoes, and bleh! My sister has a pair, and her feet sweat profusely in them, I don't see how they could be comfortable. Ew!

Agreed. I suffer with daily all-over body pain due to Lyme Disease and I need a shoe that isn't going to kill my foot after wearing it all day! My Crocs are the only shoes that fit that criteria. It doesn't matter to me if people think they're ugly. To me, comfort is more important than style, but I certainly understand why others would rather not wear them! :teeth:

I used to think crocs were hideous...like...TV infomercial 'grandma-bought-it-but-I-don't-want-it' hideous. But their website has alot of wonderful styles for men and women, and since the traditional crocs are amazingly comfortable, I am willing to bet their other styles are on the same level. I just ordered a beautiful pair of white and pink heeled sassari sandals, and if they feel half as good as they look I'll be in heaven!:cloud9:

Lol same here..I don't really like those all that much.

I thought we'd got away with it, over here in the U.K
But no, they're taking off :scared1:
I don't care how comfortable they are, they look stupid
and should be banned in public

I'm glad i'm not the only one who feels like this

:thumbsup2

.....back in the 70's? UGH! They were ugly and not even comfortable!

I used to be the same way. I HATED them, thought they were ugliest things I have ever seen. then I started having problems with my feet and was convienced to try a pair. Wow, it was like walking on a cloud. Yes, they are still ugly but sometimes comfort has to trump style

I swore I would never wear them, thought they were hideous! Then, while @ WDW last month, I saw a woman wearing the Mary Jane style, I thought they were much cuter than the originals. When I got home I ended up buying a pair of the MJ style, LOVE 'EM! Still wouldn't wear the originals as I think they're big and goofy looking!!!

Cant stand crocs either think they are very ugly yuk

I used to say I would never wear them. Then I went to buy a pair and walked out with the entire family getting a pair. Our last trip to WDW, DH did not wear his one day and at the end of the day, his feet hurt and ours didn't. He was wearing New Balance and won't let that happen again at WDW.

Don't say you would never be caught dead wearing something. My grandmother bought my grandfather a pair of argyle socks and he said he wouldn't be caught dead wearing them. She buried him in them.:rotfl2:
