Am I the Only One Worried About Aulani?

I am watching the news and seeing the wind and rain damage, and how close the hurricane is coming to Oahu. I am totally worried about Hawaii, and Aulani! I worry for the guests and staff that are there. We were there in March 2012 and they had some “100 year rains” and it was a nightmare. This is so much worse...it’s horrible.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Aulani and Hawaii!

I'm keeping an eye on it too. Never considered a hurricane to be a possibility in Hawaii.

There are a couple threads on the DIS Aulani board itself, and it seems that they did fine. Of course activities were affected (pool closed, chairs & tables brought inside, etc.) but no damage, no loss of electricity or wifi. Lane weakening into a tropical storm and turning away from a direct hit by the eye on Oahu helped a lot.

Now, no slam on anyone that OWNS at Aulani - we wish you the very BEST of luck. Others? Please consider Aulani's Geography, prior to buying this as a DVC Home Resort?
