Am I the only one who has the slowest sales associate?

I seem to have to wait for ages to get any kind of response. I know she only works 3 days a week but it seems as though I never get a response unless I call her directly which even then isn't so successful.

We got our confirmation of dates and she sent across some info for us to fill out which I did on the 16 Jan. I am waiting for our contracts but haven't heard back since. She was certainly quick enough to tell me that they have stopped doing discounts and comp nights the day after but when I emailed her on the 28th asking how our contracts are coming along- nothing!

I know they are busy and if its taking a little longer to draw up our contracts then just tell me when I ask!

Sorry rant over, just getting frustrated!

I think you may have the same sales associate I had as mine worked part time. I was an escape bride and got mine within a couple of days of passing along my details. Have you chased it up I really don't think it should take this long. I think the contracts are drawn up by their assistant as mine came through them (I had a couple of versions as I asked for some amendments).

i'm not sure exactly about your particular situation, but i just wanted to reassure that, for the most part, noone was fast enough for me (haha) and i felt most of the time that we should have had this or that by now, but when i looked back they were always on the money!

so hang in there - i am sure you obviously know what you are experiencing, so i'm not saying don't feel that way, but they do seem to always have it all under control in the end. i expected alot more during several points along the way. and our date being the 25th of the month, they were always like however many months from the DATE - like not the beginning of may, instead may 25th!!

so just wanting to say that although it can be irritating, its not unusual? hans in there!!!!

Your LOA (Letter of Agreement/Contract) usually takes about a month to get to you for your signatures etc. If you have any questions in the mean time, email or call her assistant. The DFTW sales consultant, Kristi, is (to my knowledge) the main/only point of contact in the initial planning stage (sales stage). Once your LOA is signed and deposit is paid, you will be assigned a planner (which takes another 1-3 weeks to contact you for initial planning info. Then, you can ask all the questions you want to your planner and her assistant. Usually assistants have gotten back to me pretty much immediately. Kristi's assistant is Meredith and she answers her phone every time I call and always answers every email promptly. Kristi has always been tougher to get in touch with, but I always get a response within a few days. I am a very impatient person, but I have found that if you need a quick response, contact their assistant :thumbsup2

(I don't know if my advice helped since when I re-read your post I realize you are successful at contacting her...)...

anywho - what do you mean that they stopped doing comp nights and discounts...? Is that for Escape brides? I'm confused...can you clarify for worried readers?! :) :surfweb:

good points! we had a wishes wedding and a different sales consultant. if you aren't already cc-ing everything to both sales person AND their assistant - do it!!

Initially we were undecided as to whether we were going for a Wishes or Escape wedding but our sales assistant was Joe DeMatei who was fabulous. His assistant is Meredith. I think I must be lucky as our LOA/APs etc all came back pretty quickly.

We have Joe as well and although we haven't gotten to the LOA stage yet, he is great so far!

We have Kristi and she has been great. I call her and she gets back to me with in a couple of hours. She even has called me to check in when I have not called her for a while. I love here :cheer2:

No, you are not the only one. I understand that they probably do have everything under control, but to not get questions answered in a timely manner (I don't consider seven days to be all that timely) is not OK for the amount of money that we are all paying for our weddings. I have been and continue to be frustrated by communication issues with my planner and others at DFTW.

That being said, I did feel that my sales consultant was very good about getting back to me up until yesterday, and even yesterday (we STILL haven't gotten a signed copy of our LOA after signing it three months ago and being told on January 11th that we can expect it in the mail "any day now") he did answer me quickly, but rudely.

Kristi been doing her best she is very busy with people wanting to get married she told me so just try to give her alittle more time.

I just checked with my sales associate and he told me the discount no longer applies to escape weddings. HTH :)

Sorry to worry anyone but its Escape packages that no longer receive the comp night and hotel discounts!

I will totally be copying assistants in future! thanks for the tip

Funnily enough got a response to say that they have recently become short staffed and are trying to manage the workload between them! Knowing this I am totally fine with the wait, all I want is to be kept in the loop! Maybe she read the boards! lol

From what I've heard, they do often read the boards. There was a bride on here who referred to her floral consultant as a "numpty" (apparently a British term), and he used the word in an email back to her!

That being said, I think the staff should know when their brides are dissatisfied. And, like you said, I think we all appreciate being kept in the loop. We all certainly understand staffing shortages, but it's nice to know that's the reason and that you are not being ignored, which frankly, is how it feels sometimes.
