Am I the only one who finds these shoes disgustingly wierd?

I couldn't believe it the first time I saw someone wearing a pair of these clear plastic tennis shoes. I thought it was really strange until I saw more than a few people, mostly young girls who were probably between 13 and 16 running around in these, with no socks. I mean are these things comfortable? And if you don't wear socks (as most I've seen in these shoes don't), don't your feet get all sweaty and gross?

I can't imagine wearing these shoes without socks. Seems to me that would lead to very sweaty feet. How interesting.

I have a pair.

Mine are by Joe Boxer and they just slide on. If you look real close, they have tiny little air holes that keep your feet cool.

They are very comfortable and no, my feet don't stink!

I dunno...I've seen them in all colors on all kinds of feet. Well groomed feet,nasty not-so-well groomed feet, small feet, big feet, fat feet and skinny feet. I know I would never wear them personally. I didn't even like wearing 'jellies' when those were in style because you had to go without socks in those.
