Am I the only one aggravated by the interactive queue's?

Nah, no biggie. And also I really don't think this would add anytime to the ride.....Whichever ride you're talking about, ( Let's say Peter Pan &/or Pooh ) Even if you got caught behind a really slow family/families, by the time you got up to the ride there would've been someone that got on the ride. It's very rare that they let those rides go with a few empty cars/ let alone 1....So that being said, you'll end up being in the same cart no matter what....

Think of it this way, as in a traffic jam on the freeway......If there's traffic & you are crawling along at 5 mph, you'd eventually get there in x amount of minutes...
Now picture this, you're going 5mph, then you come to a stop, for 5 minutes, then you go 10 mph for the next 5 mins., eventually it levels out & works out to be the exact time from start to finish...

Mind you this is just my $.02...:confused3

To the people who are not bothered by stopping......

Would you feel differently about this at rope drop?
Lines move fast through standby at this time. What if someone stops to use the interactive queues then? :confused3

I agree with the idea that if there are no empty cars, it's not slowing down the line. At the point it caused that, I'm confident they'd be putting CM's in the area to keep the line moving. It's just the perception that it takes more time. A 10 minute break in the line would cause a disruption in loading I would think.

You are getting on the train at the same time you always would have. The only difference is that you stopped for a period of time then moved a whole bunch to fill in the giant gap instead of just slowly moving the entire time. The waiting can be frustrating if you want to keep moving, but it does not extend your time in any way.

Like previous posters have said, the only way your time would be lengthened by waiting is if the gap was so large that they were sending empty cars.

If they aren't running empty cars, then it isn't increasing wait time. I highly doubt they don't have enough people in the loading area to load full cars. If that is the case, then the interactive areas need to be further back.

Exactly, the only way this is adding to the wait time is if it slows down the terminal end point of the line and ride spots are left open. Perception and reality are two different things.

If someone stopped when there was no line anywhere in front of them, then I would go around. If they are letting a gap build up, but the big line is there in front of us, then it really isn't making a difference at all in my wait time.

I would, for a minute, but then I realize that I'm in the HAPPIEST place on EARTH, and All is:) good..LoL.

Now talk to me about the BTG's, Then we have a problem...LoL. Just a teensy lil problem at that.

Yeah, line gaps bug me too.

The delay is all perception. As others have said, your total wait is not increased unless there are not enough people at the loading area to fill all the cars. Let the kids have their fun. If the back of the line disappears to where you can no longer see it, move ahead...

Then just ask them politely if you can go around them so they can play longer. :confused3

We just went around the people who were playing last fall in the 7DMT line. No one seemed to mind.

I see valid points saying that they aren't going to let empty cars go through and I definitely agree. But in my last 2 trips I observed a constant flow of people in the FP line at HM ( I'll use this as an example since before FP+ there was generally a shorter wait here). I guess what I was thinking is the ride is constantly going to be loading because there's the stream of people coming in through FP while the stand-by line may get backed up.

Personally I'm more aggravated by the people in line making a big deal about being "held up" by a small line gap. As long as they're still constantly loading the cars up in the front it isn't delaying anyone, truly.

As with all things though, people should use common sense and courtesy in these situations. Some folks have neither.

It still has nothing to do with it unless there are an insufficient number of people at the front of the standby queue, that they would allow a disproportionate number of FP riders in vs. when the line was full all the way through. "Gaps" are just meaningless any way you slice it, unless they gap all the way to the front of the line...

I don't like the interactive games either OP. I'm in the camp of keep the line moving. And those games are germ factories. Ick.

This seriously made me laugh out loud. If you're that concerned about germs and you really think that those games are more of a germ factory than say... oh anything else around you or near you or that you touch at Disney... Then you probably shouldn't be there.

As far as OPs post... something similar was brought up awhile ago, and one of the commenters said that a CM specifically told them go around the game-players, to keep the line moving. Perhap they need a sign at the start of the queue, something to the effect of: "Please enjoy the interactive games while you wait. However, please remain aware of the queue and keep moving, otherwise you forfeit your place in line."

I feel like I would be more bothered by the fact that if one person is holding back the line for as long as some of you are saying (10 mins!?) that person is obviously not giving others in line a chance to use the games or whatever is there...

*snort* Because people read signs and follow said signs? ;)

Not necessarily games, but just so many things to see, and absorb..
