Am I the only Cdn going to Disneyland

Just got back from an amazing 6 day trip to DL/DCA...we rode all the rides (except the water rides), saw all the shows and parades and had an amazing trip despite the heat & humidity...we are from the Southern Ontario area and flew out of Buffalo (way cheaper than Toronto) and we prefer DL/DCA over WDW. We love that you can walk everywhere when you are at the parks and to park hop it is just a short walk between the gates of DL and DCA.

That's awesome, we are from the same area as you. How much did you pay for your flights out if Buffalo? Is 6 days enough to see it all? What hotel did you stay at? Thanks so much!!

Our flights out of Buffalo were a little more expensive than we have paid in the past only because I booked this trip about 45 days before we left (normally we have trips planned further in advance). We fly Southwest and this trip it was $700 for 2 of us, normally flights are about $500. I try to book the earliest flight to get us to LAX around noon. This trip we stayed at Paradise Pier but we have stayed at all 3 Disney hotels at Disneyland. We have never stayed off site. 6 days was plenty of time for us to see everything but this was our 5th trip to Disneyland in just over a year (yes, we are insane)...we took full advantage of the early entry mornings into the park, which during this trip were at 7 am...which made for lower crowds than on other trips when EE was 9 am. The length of stay all depends on what the park hours will be. Since we were there just before the 4th of July, the parks were open from 7 am to midnight so it allowed a lot of time to ride the rides and see the shows and parades. Our last trip in May the parks were only open 10 am to 8 pm so it did cut down on what we were able to do and see especially since early entry started at 9 am - those extra 2 hours in the morning sure do make a difference. Also, with the parks being so close together in California, park hopping is very quick compared to WDW.

I'm glad you had such a great time! I prefer Disneyland myself.

I'm also from your area. We'll probably fly out of DTW again though because despite the 3.5 hr drive it's considerably cheaper (at least it was this spring) than BUF.
