Am I supposed to get some kind of confirmation?

For the first time, I have booked our entire trip myself (trying to save a few $$$!). It just hit me... am I supposed to get some kind of confirmation from CRO at WDW after I paid our initial deposit? It's been almost a week and a half since I mailed it in. But I called them this past Monday and they said they had received it. I'm just nervous I guess because I feel that I should have a confirmation in writing.

Yes, you should get a written confirmation in the mail. That said, Disney can be very slow sometimes in getting them sent out. For me, it took several phone calls and over 3 weeks to get a new confirmation sent out after making some changes. It worried me too, but like you when I called everything was fine. Still, you should have the confirmation in hand, just in case. I'd give them about 10 days after they received the payment and then call back and ask them to resend the confirmation. It make take more than once, but eventually you'll get it.

I have always gotten mine within a week but I have used a CC to make the deposit. Give it another week or so. If you don't get one by them call them again, and request that one be sent to you.
