So the countdown is on, FP+ are booked, and I'm stalking these boards ;)
Our initial group was of 5, but my 13yo daughters BFF had to cancel during Easter week  due to a family emergency. Although she was devastated we are trying to make the best of it.
I was thinking of doing rope drop most days and the recommended parks. If I remember correctly EMH are not the best choices either. I also booked our FP's for later in the day, thinking we could hopefully get at least one of our favs in the am and do some others first.
Do you think this will work? Am I on the right path here? I have never gone at crowd 9 levels, but we known the parks and what we like.
Could you give me some of your best suggestions for the 2 of us to have the best time we can??? I have to make this up to her :)

We are going the same time it sounds like, the week before Easter. Our plans are the same, RD, for MK plan to hit some headlines before crowds build, and our FP's scattered at different times throughout the park. We did our BTMRR one at 9:15 pm because it is awesome in the dark! Once we hit a few biggies we plan to start hitting the "lesser" rides and work our way around the park, using the lines app and expecting to stand in a few lines.

For the other parks, basically the same thing, hit the big one or two and then FP's for a little later. Only difference is HS, we won't get in until 3, so took what we could get.

There will be lines, but a little patience, it could be a wonderful mother-daughter bonding time!

Have fun!

I am just back from a trip with my 15 yo daughter. It was February break for a lot of the northeast so while I don't know what the crowd number was, it was certainly busy! I did post a thread about our strategies on FP+/MDE etc. but will summarize here. We did the morning EMH at each park offered. This worked out great especially at Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Walked on the headliners and then would explore or do a few other things and leave by about noon each day for some pool/rest time. We would then hop to another park in the late afternoon/evening and use our 3 FP+ and do whatever else we wanted. In addition, MK was open until 1 am a couple of nights, so we would hit there from about 10-11/11:30 with little to no lines or waits at the big attractions. This plan worked great for us and we feel we did everything we wanted and more. Have a great trip with your daughter, it was really fun and special for us! With her 2 older siblings at college and DH in his busy season at work, it was the perfect time for just us girls to get away!

Sounds like a great plan to me!!

I usually do the same fp+ style, arrive at rope drop, ride a few things, greet a few characters, have some lunch, and then have my fp+'s booked for after that! It can also work out nicely to have multiple rides on some things. Still arrive at rope drop, and still head to your favourite/headliners to accomplish them!

Recommended parks are honestly the best place to go, I only really started following them last year and the crowds are lower! I still like EMH, particularly in the AM, you can arrive at 8, hit up headliners, and be gone by 9 to nearly make it to rope drop another park!

Have fun!! pixiedust:

If Disney thinks it is going to be really busy, they might open the park a little sooner, so make sure you get there early! Also keep an eye out for morning EMH to be added at MK. I know at Christmas the MK had EMH every morning. So just keep an eye on things. I think that the late Easter actually means it will be less busy than when Easter is in March or early April. Still should be swamped, though. Good plan!

If you are not morning people, I'd consider doing EMH evenings. With teens, you totally can enjoy the super late 12 AM+ times, which have short waits. I think it's a viable strategy to plan for latish arrivals and close down the parks during holiday weeks.
