Am I remembering things incorrectly?

We just got back today! For the most part, it was great! Aside from the massive amounts of construction and walls/screens everywhere, it was a pretty great trip! CMs were awesome and MBs worked perfectly! I'm just curious if anyone returning in the past few days noticed things seeming "off" with several attractions. I just read about POC being scheduled for refrub soon, so that probably explains the things that were missing with it, but on lots of other things, there seemed to be long periods of darkness where scenery used to be lit up, or animatronics once moved, but are now still, and other things like that. Maybe I'm just remembering it wrong. Like, on Peoplemover, has there always been a really long section of near complete darkness? I seem to remember there being things on display in windows as you traveled through. Space Mountain was also completely black. Didn't it used to have stars and planets and things whizzing by? It's been about 5 years since I've been, so maybe I'm remembering it incorrectly. There were several other things of that nature that I can't recall at the moment. We had a great time none-the-less!

Yes, I think you're right, there did used to be stars and/or comets visible as you went through Space Mountain.

We came back Friday. The inside of Space Mountain was dark, but later the stars & asteroids were on. Twice in People Mover Space Mountain was shut-down and we got video & stills of the coaster track.

Also regarding PoC - we thought the same thing. For one thing, the smoke/projection of Davy Jones (or is it Blackbeard???) was missing. But the beginning of the ride seemed like it was missing a few things.

Also on PeopleMover we thought there were more things on display in the Buzz section.... All we saw was the lady getting her hair done 1 brief window into the Buzz attraction.

Agreed with your comments on so many things under construction. I guess the good news is that means new changes coming!

I always seem to spot stars and occasionally the faint outline of a car in the distance. It's my fix of Space Mountain without actually riding!!

There were things on display in Peoplemover. They refurbed it this summer. I wonder if they removed that stuff. I remember those displays being there when I went as a child. That would be sad if they removed them.
