Am I paranoid? Boss and workplace woes.

How is your relationship with this boss? How is his relationship with the other two?

I think what he did was inappropriate. If he was going to do something like that he should have approached the other two privately. It was ignorant and mean.

Thanks for all your comments, everybody, and for letting me feel that I'm not crazy. My boss doesn't usually overlook things, he's pretty detail oriented and demands as much from us. The gift given to the other two was a "wine kit," (foil cutter, corkscrew, and rubber cork). Pretty nice actually, but it's not the gift I care about.

I thought my relationship with him was professional, but others admit he tends to be distant from everyone.

Could it be that he thought that you didn't drink, for whatever reason, and thus wouldn't appreciate that gift? Don't discount the possibility that he might have been re-gifting.

Does he know you're going to WDW soon? Maybe he has something in mind related to that? Something sent to your room, or Disney Dollars, etc.

I think you're right to think this is strange. At least the DIS agrees with you, that's never a sure thing
