Now that 2007 rates are out, I've been able to plug in my dates and play around on the Disney World Web site.
I read somewhere that it is sometimes cheaper to book your room and your park tickets separately, rather than as a package, which Disney allows you to do. So I thought I'd plug my info in each way, to see which was cheaper. Here's what I got:
5-day Park-Hoppers, 2 adults, 2 kids: $975.54
5 nights at POP (June 4-9): $613.15
Total (booked separately): $1,588.69
Same as above, booked as package: $938.94
So if I'm reading this correctly, not only is it cheaper to book a package, the hotel/tickets cost together is less than the cost of tickets alone, booked separately.
Do the packages really save you THAT much money?
Am I missing something? Am I just dumb?
Someone let me know.
