Am I missing anything?

So I am already planning my next DL trip and this time it will be around mid march/april due to time constraints and money. I am going by myself so I can go at my own pace and time and just get a different perspective while I am there. I do want to go when there is low attendance so ride rehabs/closures do not bother me...much. I did see that during the week of April 14th the southern California APs have a blockout. But then most good neighbor hotels hike up their rates $10 to $20 more a night compared to the week before when there are no blockouts.
So for the DL veterans out there or even the AP holders out there. When in March or April would be the best time to go when there is "low attendance".
Enlighten me o'masters of the forums.

March & April is Spring Break time, and attendance is not that low. Lowest attendance occurs in mid January through late February (except for Presidents Day weekend). If you must go in March, go in early March before Spring Break.

Yes, THIS^^^^^^^is good advice!

If you are at all able to change your dates a bit, the first week and a half in March(1st through 11th) is great--we do this every year and crowds are lower, than later in the month.

Or, if you can go a little later, the week after Easter might be OK!

Good Luck!:)

I can manage that. So I know to expect ride rehabs and what not but what about fantasmic/world, world of color and fireworks? Do they tend to do them on certain days on the low season?

I did the very end of April this year and had great results! I think the only refurbs that were going on were BTMRR and JC.

Well I am not expecting to walk onto any rides. I mean that would be great! But if any ride is more than an hour wait. It better be for good reason I.e - rsr.

Since you're going by yourself, crowds won't affect you quite as much. You can do single rider lines for Indy, Splash, Matterhorn, RSR, and a couple of others I'm not remembering. FPs for the rest. Sounds like fun!

World of Color will still be every day--probably 8:15pm Mon-Thurs, and 9:00pm and 10:15pm Fri to Sun.

Fantasmic! will probably be in Fri, Sat, Sun, 9:00pm and 10:30pm.

Fireworks will probably be Fri to Sun, at 9:30pm.

This is what the schedule was last year, during the first week in March.

If you are able to go during the first week and a half of March, attraction lines will not be anywhere near an hour long(except for maybe RSR, and a couple of others--maybe). We haven't been the week after Easter, so others will have to advise you on that particular week!

Hope that helps!::yes::

But even with RSR, if you are going alone you can ride the single rider. I was there over a very busy time (Labor Day), and the single rider was only around 30 - 40 minutes. I would hope the single rider would be even less when you go.

Absolutely!!!

Last year in March, we utilized Single Rider and got on every time, within 5 to 10 minutes---so fun! We rode at the beginning of the day, however, can't speak about single rider, later in the day.

So if I plan to go during the first week and a half of march I can expect low crowds and low wait times. If I also plan to go during a weekend in that first week and a half of march I can expect to see world of color, fantasmic and fireworks.
Well that sounds like a plan!
Any good hotels within walking distance? Cheap too, like $60 to $80 a night.

And is there anything else that I am missing? What do they not offer during the low attendance months?

They didn't mention that 2/28-3/2 is the Cheerleading Competition at. Hotels are not cheap that weekend so you might want to go after that.

Hey, as a single guy that isn't so bad haha :lmao: But true point, hotel prices can be a pain at times.
