Am I making us wake up too early too often?!

So we're planning on a longer trip (10 days, 11 nights). I have us doing two days at each park with two days off. The park days I have us waking up early to get to rope drop. The two days off are the days I have us sleeping in. I know how important rope drop is...but would you wake up early to hit it every single park day for a longer trip?

Curious to hear your thoughts!

Since you have 10 days, take it easy. It's o.k. if you miss a rope drop or two. Planned sleep-ins are completely acceptable.

Our next trip is only 4 days, so we will be rope dropping every day to get everything in.

Personally I would never miss a RD no matter trip length, but that may not work for every family. I could see skipping it on a 2nd AK or Epcot day to get some extra shut eye.

I had planned on making RD every day on our trip last spring (9 days). It was a little more ambitious that what I had planned in the past, and by the 3rd day we were exhausted and had to start taking it easier. Ended up canceling all of our pre-park opening ADRs, and skipped AM EMH for the rest of the week.

It was understandably a little frustrating since we weren't able to do as much as I had hoped, but had some point I had to admit that it just wasn't worth it.

Maybe plan at least a couple park days that you don't arrive so early, and just rely on FP+ for the busier attractions. Or at least be flexible once you are there if you find that you need a little more rest.
